If you had to choose to live your day today every day or die, what would you choose?

Very random and slightly dark question! But I was just on a packed, late train thinking that if I had a choice to either live my day today every day for the rest of my natural life or die immediately, I’d definitely choose the latter. Was in work all day, feeling unwell then delayed trains home. Kids are away so haven’t seen them.

Nothing too terrible, just not a day I’d want to repeat! How about you?

Definitely live today over. I've spend the day with my 3 year old. A nice walk, Halloween craft session at the local village hall with a friend of his. Back home . Nap together, husband made lunch. Just a lovely day!!

I've had a lovely day looking after my toddler granddaughter.
Everyday doing that would be joyous.

Hope tomorrow os better for you, OP.

I’ve had a normal WFH day. Nothing of any significance happened, I went for run before work this morning, watched the budget at lunchtime & went to the supermarket after work. Nice dinner & wine with DP. Could be a bit tedious to have it as Groundhog Day, but better than the alternative.

I'd definitely repeat today over and over, it was sunny, mild, went out for lunch and won £2000 on online slots 😀 This is a good day but I have definitely had days when I wanted it all to be over 🫣 I'm sure there will be more..

Die
DS struggling w his MH and I’m his emotional crutch (happy to be so, but it’s draining).

If you’d said yesterday that would have been fine. Boring but fine.

Today was suicidal autistic daughter meltdown day. So no, I would rather die than do today over and over.

Good day for me! Cleaner came … that would be great every day! Kids were delightful, had a long soak in the bath, watched some great films and chilling now with wine and my DH … pretty good day all round!

Die. Have just done a 12.5 hr shift as a Nurse no break again and worked non stop, sick of it after 32 years.

Definitely death. Sitting on a phone line all day talking to one person after another in awful situations is exhausting. I can't wait to retire.

Greedybilly · 28/10/2026 20:32

I have Long Covid and have felt deathly for nearly 2 years.
Today I felt a glimmer of energy/not awful - went to a cafe with my daughter and cleaned the hall way.
If every day is like this as opposed to lying on sofa feeling crap I'll take it!

For those asking for rules I was thinking you would need to repeat the exact day, rather than the framework. But you wouldn’t know you’d done the same day again and again, you’d just wake up and do it for as many days as you have left.

For those asking, yes my day has got better! In my pyjamas now eating a cornetto and watching TV.

Sorry for those on here who sound like they’ve had genuinely rubbish days Flowers
