What shall I do with "Reformer" magazine which has just come through my door?

To show my contempt for it? Send it back in an unpaid envelope, to make the teeniest dent in their millions?

Keep it in a safe place, in 100 years it will be historic memorabilia & Fiona Bruce’s granddaughter may show it on Antiques roadshow.

Ours arrived on a day last week when it was pouring with rain. I threw it back outside on the ground, wiped my feet rather thoroughly on it to grind it into the dirt, and when DH came home I invited him to do the same.

So you chose to destroy it rather than recycle it? What a waste of time. Reform won’t suffer by you doing this, it’s just a waste of paper.

You don’t have to read it, just put it straight out for recycling. Think of all the effort you and your DH would have saved.

This is the freepost address. I may or may not have added my 2p worth on just what I think about their party before merrily sending it back off.

Well you could be an adult about it and recognise that different people support different political parties and if you’re not interested in anything this magazine has to say then you stick it into recycling like every normal person does when they get junk mail through their letter box.

Yeah. But then again Reform have just created a gaming app which involves intercepting asylum seekers in the sea. The highest scorer each month gets £5,000.

It’s weird… almost as if they’re not a serious political party actually putting their money to any good use but instead a racist, misogynistic bunch of knobs stirring up hatred for anyone who isn’t rich, male and white to distract from the fact that it’s actually billionaires ruining the world.

Some of us understandably don’t want this posted through our letterboxes and feel angry at the type of people who support it.

I'm not going to sully our recycling bin with that racist bile. It's far better decomposing in our flower bed. With luck, the neighbour's cat will shit on it too.

I used mine to light the logburner so I got some use out of it.

You were not 😅

Be an “adult” about it, some posters are saying.

Is Nigel Farage an adult? Genuine question. If so, then I don’t know what an adult is. He looks like an overgrown toddler to me. See also Johnson and Trump. More money than brain cells, never been told “no” in their lives, and they all have temper tantrums frequently. Are we supposed to be respecting these “adults?”

Mine made it to the incinerator at the bottom of my garden within 25 seconds 🔥

scalt · 27/10/2026 22:04

And I didn’t choose the word “Reformer”. Farage did, or one of his minions did.

Nope. It burns.
