Just happened.....speaking to a lovely guy in the office, mid pleasant chat, when yours truly lets out a loud (and unexpected, by both of us) fart........ (a la Jackson Lamb for those that know......) lovely guy in office pink and rather surprised (to put it mildly), me scarlet and gabbling.......... anyone else done anything similar, please make feel better.....(just told 24 year old daughter on facetime, who is now howling with laughter 😆)... as dp will be, when I tell him later. I'm just trying to hide behind my computer....

Either ignore completely and style out or say “I really am so sorry, I have a gastric issue.”

I dont believe it happened.

I adopt the royal family strategy, never complain and never explain when it happens accidentally. Keep talking and try not to pause then they wonder was it you or them, or are at least confused enough for that split second to be too polite to mention until I can escape. If it’s someone I know well I just laugh they know I have terrible IBS.

My favourite with someone else though was a friend of Dd1s had headphones on in the kitchen and was dancing away and did a really loud fart, clearly didn’t hear it herself and thought she’d got away with it only to turn around to Dd1 and 2 (and I) in kinks of laughter.

Haha I wish I was. I worked in an airport for an airline and was announcing information about the flight. I thought I’d switched it off so I let a little fart out and I hadn’t switched the tannoy off 🤣

I'm old (er)...and at 62 I've never done a surprise part. Surely you feel it 'approaching".

Did you acknowledge it op or carry on taking like nothing happened ? 😂
