7 days until payday - how much spending money do you have in your bank?

I have £9.66 to cover the next 7 days. I can manage, I have some food in which I can eke out and I can cook and make do. I walk to work so no travel costs. All my bills are paid but there are definitely no extras happening this weekend.

It just feels a bit miserable even though I am trying to be positive. A trip to the library, some tv, knitting and a robust walk Sunday and Saturday will help.

I work full time, single parent to adult children, youngest is unemployed and lives with me, other one is at uni.

Anyone else?

Got paid Friday and had nothing left - now also have nothing left as bills all gone out !!! Back to the credit card for expenses for the month and the cycling begins, can’t get ontop of it but can’t scrimp as need some enjoyment …

£396 but I was away on holiday start of October and my car needed the MOT last week so less than usual (mortgage paid off in my 30s which made the difference) DP (we don’t live together) has around £2k. 15-20 years ago I’d have had much MUCH less so I’m grateful. I still remember heating one room to save the money on the prepayment metre. Hang in there if you’re struggling it does improve as the weans grow. Hold onto that and never give up.

Do you pay the credit card off each month? Or is there a constant balance? How does this work as I’m assuming it is eventually maxed out?

£14.96. But payday is Tuesday. But it’s half term so next month will be worse
