Just rediscovered pork pies with mustard! What are your favourite surprisingly delicious snacks?

Salt & vinegar crisps
Marmite & cherry tomatoes on toast
Camembert & mushrooms on toast

I was also going to say digestives and cheddar!

At uni my party pleaser was grilled courgette slices in olive oil. Everyone wanted some after a night out and they only take ten minutes, slice thinly and lay out flat without overlapping, drizzle generously with oil and loads of salt and pepper. You can grate parmesan afterwards if you can be bothered.

My kids eat a picky plate that is so good, I make one for myself too. A couple of slices of salami, half a boiled egg with a tiny mountain of white pepper to dip it in, a few fresh blueberries and one plain cracker. It is hunger-quenching and tantrum-quelling.

I thought I was the only person to love buttered digestives.

Also crumpets with butter and marmite.

As a very young child I used to nibble on firelighters when I got a chance.

I still love the smell of them!

I love a bit of marmalade on pate on toast. It needs to be quite bitter but it really works

Digestive biscuit with salted butter and a slice of mature cheddar is divine. I also love a cream cracker with some salted butter and then peanut butter on top. Mmmm!

OMG the buttered Digestive is just absolutely wonderful!!!!
