Just rediscovered pork pies with mustard! What are your favourite surprisingly delicious snacks?

Salt & vinegar crisps
Marmite & cherry tomatoes on toast
Camembert & mushrooms on toast

They are by a company called San Andreas I think it's called. It's in a white box. The sweets are almond shaped. Look up almond paste Spanish wafer sweets. I forget their actual Spanish name. Be warned you will not be able to stop! I think they come in usually round this time so we'd better just split the national supply right now! 😄

Rich tea biscuits with butter and mature cheddar on,delicious and something I've had since I was little.

Crunchy peanut butter on toast with ground black pepper and Seasalt

Digestive biscuit with salted butter and extra mature farmhouse cheddar

Toast with marmite, peanut butter and avocado

Salted peanuts (preferably the salt and vinegar ones) and grated cheddar cheese mixed with a bit of mayo or salad cream

Plain chocolate digestives with Stilton

Almonds dipped in Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt

Cream crackers with dairylea cheese and slice of cucumber

Marmite and lettuce sandwich on cheap white bread

Any type of egg with marmite toast

I love Marmite!

A sandwich made using buttered white Warburtons Danish bread, a slice of plastic cheese and Heinz Sandwich Spread.

Delicious.

P.S. I bet salt and vinegar crisps crushed in are even better. I might try it out this weekend. I say this because a packet of S&V in buttered Danish is elite.

Oh @DanaScullysLegoHair thats spooky. I was just coming on to say Heinz sandwich spread. In my house it has to be on white bread and thick butter. Even better if I can find a polony sausage to slice up with it.

Multi seed bagel with peanut butter.
Those Hovis digestive biscuits (the ones in a hovis shape) with snowdonia black bomber cheese and chilli chutney.
Sourdough Crumpets just with butter.

Sushi ginger straight from the jar in the fridge every time i walk past. I can’t resist it!

@Ladybird69 Polony! We used to eat that as kids at my nana's house. Forgot it even existed. We had haslet too. All in the Warburtons white Danish or sliced Hovis 😁

Put slices of Stilton on a Ryvita and toast under the grill… delicious

Hummus and raw cauliflower florets
Any cracker, buttered
Cucumber chunks with generous amount of salt and vinegar !

Grated cheese mixed with mayonnaise. Toast bread on one side under grill, pile cheese and mayo mixture on other side and grill until bubbling.

Corned beef and onion sandwich on thickly buttered white bread.

Beetroot sandwich on thickly buttered white bread with lots of white pepper and a little bit of salt.

I recently discovered figs. Cut into quarters.

I often make a bowl of crisps, nuts, apple and cheese all mixed together 😋

Not totally strange or unheard of but cheese with jam is my current go-to snack.
Has to be an extra mature (preferably vintage) cheddar, with strawberry jam. Not seedless jam though because the crunch of the seeds along with the crystals of the cheese (what a beautiful rhyme!) really please me.

Super Noodles on toast

Honourable mention to cheese and onion crisps with ham and spicy cornichons. Delicious.

Room temperature mature cheddar sliced from the block, on buttered digestive biscuits.
