There are very few people I would be willing to share a room with. Even with them, I'd prefer my own, but would share if it meant affording a trip I couldn't otherwise.

When I was young I shared due to cost but now that I'm older and better off I insist on my own room

We go away every year as a group and we always get our own rooms. Love them to bits but I’m not sharing a room with them.

In my friend group, when we go away, those in long term relationships always want their own rooms, and those single are always happy to share. Costs are divvied up accordingly.
