How do people cope with being ugly?
When did you realise you were ugly?
I have always known I was ugly and I hate photos of myself.
Anytime I feel I look decent, I very quivkly realise im not.

Well I've known plenty of people who perhaps don't fit the accepted definition of 'beautiful' but who ooze confidence or assurance or grace or charisma or just a super strong sense of unwaivering self-worth. These people are never ugly.

The secret isn't, as somebody here said, money. Money to add to yourself, or take away, to freeze yourself or whatever. The secret is truly loving yourself, treating your whole self with that love (ie taking care of yourself in a healthy, joyful way), and loving others with a fullness.

Beauty radiates from these people in indefinable ways regardless of how their face is put together. And I don't just mean because they're nice, so you overlook any so-called ugliness. I mean, they truly have a quality of pure attraction x

Most people don’t fit the accepted definition of beautiful though. So you’re just talking about average looking people here. It’s not easy for someone who considers themself to actually be ugly, to ooze “unwavering self worth”, confidence, charisma, self assurance or anything else that you listed

Ok lets say you are ugly, so what? What happens? I know a few very attractive people and tbh it doesn’t seem to have made that much actual difference apart from random people you don’t know admiring you. Yeah I would agree it can be an advantage but it can also be a bit shit too, men objectifying you and only wanting to spend time with you because they want to shag you (not because you don’t have an amazing personality as an attractive woman but because men are shit).

I’m no oil painting and neither is DH, we are really happy together, we have very comfortable lives and a happy family. I hate looking at my pictures so I rarely do and that fixes that problem. Stop seeing yourself through other peoples eyes and start looking outward from yourself. Ruminating over whether you are perceived as attractive is pointless. Focus on doing stuff you enjoy entirely for yourself, you don’t have to exist just to be pleasing to others.
