1 - Donald Trump. That creature is repulsive and his highly offensive posts wrestling a tiger have made me angry in ways I can’t explain.

2 - Royal Mail. I paid £9.45 to send a tracked parcel to my DD (address/postage etc all correct) and you email me to say you’re ’returning to sender’ but can’t tell me why.

3 - Microsoft authenticator app. Screw you.

4 - Useless Ex changing plans but not informing anyone who it affects

5 - The Uncle Franks buffalo wing sauce stain on my Oasis Live 25 T shirt that won’t come out.

I’m going back to bed…..

My hearing aid on the side that needs it most won't work. I have two hospital appts tomorrow and Friday and I won't hear a bloody thing they are saying. Can't get aid fixed overnight either! Might get a temp one on Monday if lucky.

My partner is an annoying sod. He has pushed every button today and because I am pissed off about not hearing much I took it out on him. But he is still an annoying so and so and is doing my head in.

I cannot find my Seiko watch. It is in the house somewhere. I even emptied all bins out on the back garden grass to sift through the shit. Nope not there. Where the F is it.

No wonder I am like the demon from Hell today.

my car that won’t start, that I can’t get anyone to come and look at, therefore I can’t go to places to look at new cars! And a million other things as well but that’s the main one for today.

  1. I’ve had my right arm in a sling for two weeks and I am over it
  2. i am over DH having to do everything because of said sling and not complaining, of course, but clearly also being over it
  3. The front of my house is falling off and not weatherproof. It is under warranty. The man has promised to come and look at it every week for 2 months but just doesn’t show. I don’t know what to do but I am really annoyed.
  4. I’ve been freelancing successfully for 25 years but this year it has just fallen off a cliff. I am trying not to worry but earning almost nothing

Whiteflies are hideous here too. I was washing the car, the black cloth roof suddenly filled with them. I thought it was ash floating in the air at first.

Never seen so many before.

I can cope with them in the garden, we've had an absolute plague of them here, but I don't want to find any in my dinner!!

Incompetent people who can't answer a simple question.

Specifically an insurance policy. I asked "Is XYZ covered, because the policy document doesn't specify"

The reply "your policy document specifies what is covered"

FFS.

Sitting in a patient waiting room to go through for surgery. One man has his phone on very loud, has watched I think a camera in a nursing home, from the conversations I’ve heard!! Now he’s watching something else, and it keeps pinging on eBay sales.
and another couple also keeps pinging on their phones. One is the partner. I think playing games. Does no one know about silent functionality or ear phones. My blood pressure will be through the roof. Grrr

Yesterday's was having to get a bus to get DS to <very important thing> due to all the trains being cancelled. Bus was absolutely packed (mostly with smelly teenagers, one of whom had her backpack in my face) and got stuck in traffic making us late.
Today is better but same DS hasn't even started packing for school trip he's going on tomorrow, and I've just realised DH has put the camping stuff away somewhere I can't reach.

Waiting to here about the outcome of an internal job interview

Not feeling refreshed despite a fair amount of sleep

Hip and back pain
Having to chase former managing agent over have they paid the tax on the bank account interest? you've had three weeks to reply, people, but this is a level of incompetence that comes as no surprise
Paperwork - dealing with and filing of
Companies not replying to enquiries. I'm considering over 10ks of work here, is business genuinely that good you can ignore me?

Squirrel60 · 15/10/2026 15:00

The sodding internet is chucking another tantrum! Wouldn't switch on properly; refused to connect, over an hour of faffing with it. When it did eventually connect, it wouldn't let me type anything, so I had to knock the whole thing off and start again. Then ages and ages of non-connecting/wait/disconnect. Finally came on, and it's agonisingly slow. I contacted the company I pay a fortune for, and they really just keep making excuses! I'd recently cancelled the previous provider because their internet service was on its deathbed, then joined the one I'm with now, and it's even slower!

I agree with you about farty Trump and the tiger. It's a well-known fact that he hates animals and agrees with cruelty to them.

Menopause and everything about it. Evil bag of turds it is!

People not knowing who has right of way at a roundabout
People wandering across the road when there's a crossing 10 feet away
Our surgery and pharmacy which are in the same building but neither knows what the other is doing. I'm sick of going up there every bloody day.

NovemberMorn · 15/10/2026 16:58

Having to cancel a holiday through to illness and the ongoing wait for a Dr to acknowledge I was unable to fly.
Six weeks is estimated before anyone can deal with my request.
Odd, as even though no one can ever get an appointment to see an actual real life doctor, the surgery is always empty.

RaraRachael · 15/10/2026 18:45

@NovemberMorn Exactly the same as our surgery. Previously you could get an appointment same or next day. Now it's either the 8am phone scramble or you can maybe see a doctor in 4 weeks.
Empty waiting rooms too.

My neighbours who have bred a litter from their yappy, hyperactive, out-of-control cockerpoo. Never seen it walked, they just let it out in the garden. Cute but crazy.

Recently found out they are now keeping two of her puppies (one on purpose, one was returned days after it was sold).

Mum just used to bark at passers by but with mum and two boisterous pups every time they are let out it's non-stop yapping mixed with regular (completely ignored) shouts to shut up/ stop that noise/ come inside.

Not sure which is worse, the dogs or the shouting.

I wfh. I love dogs. I want to cry, if it's like this in the autumn how bad will summer be when they're outside even more? 😭

wanttokickoffbutcant · 15/10/2026 20:51

I am just having a shit year and today I think my job is going to try and get rid of me. I had a two week stint in hospital with a near fatal asthma attack, have been diagnosed with COPD, since been diagnosed with osteoparosis and now waiting for outcome of tests for bowel and ovarian cancer. Oh and also ceoliac disease which is the icing on the cake (which I won't be able to eat). I am 53.
