I need a rant….what’s doing your head in today??

1 - Donald Trump. That creature is repulsive and his highly offensive posts wrestling a tiger have made me angry in ways I can’t explain.

2 - Royal Mail. I paid £9.45 to send a tracked parcel to my DD (address/postage etc all correct) and you email me to say you’re ’returning to sender’ but can’t tell me why.

3 - Microsoft authenticator app. Screw you.

4 - Useless Ex changing plans but not informing anyone who it affects

5 - The Uncle Franks buffalo wing sauce stain on my Oasis Live 25 T shirt that won’t come out.

I’m going back to bed…..

My dog. I’m wfh and he ran shit through my house while I was in a meeting. I have had to ask for an hour of leave to wash the dog, the carpets and the throws. Just trying to calm down before I turn the laptop back on.
Very thankful to lovely boss.

The person who queue jumped at subway to “order a Diet Coke” then added a latte, three cookies and a sandwich.

The person who followed us from carpark then started walking backwards on the travelator to talk to me and my daughter despite clear signs we didn’t want to

people.

Whiteflies. Especially the ones hiding in the broccoli I bought from a supermarket this morning. I just opened the pack to cut some of the broccoli up for dinner later. Good job I had my reading glasses on. Ugh.😩

WillTraynor · 14/10/2026 15:22

Everyone!
The people selling the house I want to buy, who won't move out before my mortgage offer expires.
My ex who refuses to return DD's passport - we go on holiday on Tuesday.
The difficult client.
The cat who threw up - fortunately on the patio not in the house.
The woman who just beeped at me as I was crossing the road.

I'm starting to think I'm the problem here ....

Mine is quite ridiculous but when you call someone and they answer the phone, but there’s all the shuffling noises while they try to hold the phone. And the shuffling continues. Just hold the phone still against your ear FFS 😂

MyGallbladderIsAFucker · 14/10/2026 16:50

Quite frankly just other people.

Completecare · 14/10/2026 16:53

Maybe I can help! Have you tried sunlight on the sauce it's like magic on tomato based stains.

vodkaredbullgirl · 14/10/2026 16:54

Tinnitus, it's driving me nuts.
The dogs are annoying me lol
My daughter with her endless delivery orders.

Chronic pain.
Trades people not coming.
Still waiting for a new bank card after 10 days from being scammed.
Being an idiot.
Needing to empty the dishwasher.
Glaring at a pile of parcels that need to be opened and then wrapped up for Christmas and birthdays.
Not being able to book travel to deliver said parcels and visit family because my DAMN BANK CARD HASN'T ARRIVED.
Old wobbly dog who can't work out the new dog stairs I've ordered for her.
My car won't start.
Chasing up my cleaner who hasn't been for six weeks.
Having to offer sympathy to a friend all day who had a broken parcel arrive.
Wondering what on earth to have for tea.
Shall I continue?! 🙄

Hollyhobbi · 14/10/2026 17:05

Our government! I’m in Ireland and half of my family have been on thr picket lines! Very proud of my dd who was on her first ever picket after just getting a first class honours nursing degree last week. She has a one year contract with the hospital she trained in but that’s not starting til the 1st of December. Hopefully they will listen to us now and start talking before we have another strike day next Wednesday! And I’ve had tinnitus 24/7 since I was about 19 and it’s after getting worse since I had surgery this year to remove 2 parathyroid glands which were slowly killing me!

Omg. This sounds horrendous. Hope things improve

BCBird · 14/10/2026 17:27

Bloody sciatica and stomach ache. Sick of pain. Let's hope things improve for us all.

Someonesomewhereinsummertime · 14/10/2026 17:31

Feeling embarrassed and tearful after messing up at work. Just can't think of the right words anymore. Not sure if it's because I'm menopausal or because I'm stupid.

TheMasterplan23 · 14/10/2026 17:50

Blimey….i feel awful for ranting about my rubbish problems now!

I hope everyone’s days/weeks improve. It does feel like a never ending treadmill of shite sometimes 🤗

The Church of England.

Fiddling whilst Rome burns comes to mind. Or merrily ignoring all problems whilst churches crumble and PCC’s collapse

PermanentTemporary · 14/10/2026 17:53

Courier companies. I’m overseas trying to get something picked up from a place I was in last week and taken to a place I will be next week. I have the money, but I can’t make the booking without a tax reference. National Insurance number won’t do apparently. I’m away from home without access to my paperwork. So I can’t book the bloody courier. What do they care, they’re a huge company.

Edited

Whiteflies are hideous here too. I was washing the car, the black cloth roof suddenly filled with them. I thought it was ash floating in the air at first.

Never seen so many before.

The bloody stupid system for getting my dc some mental health support. Try one thing, they refer me to another. Local ND team have nothing on offer, local cahms is inundated (3 year waiting list), school haven’t got much beyond a drop in group, private therapists are rarer than hens teeth and so expensive. I’m so sick of being bounced around the systems and referred from one to another and just getting nowhere! Yet everywhere you look on the council websites it’s all singing all dancing this, that and the other on offer, how amazing we are, look how we prioritise young people, mental health awareness etc etc but when you speak to someone there’s a billion criteria that most dc don’t fit. Argh!

Lilaclane · 14/10/2026 19:11

my scruffy downstairs neighbours with their whining child and shite left on the shared landing.

a fellow volunteer who raised a grievance about something ridiculous and happens to be a total mood hoover. Sadly she typifies the worst I’ve experienced of Gen Z. Fwiw I know lots of fab Gen Z folk.

an injury that has stopped me participating in the sport I love for several weeks now

my recent ex for not returning my only spare set of keys. Given to him because he’d lost his own (slaps forehead)

my soul-sucking job that will have me on teams all day tomorrow. Working on that. Literally.

but I have lovely things to look forward to and things always always perk up.

TheeNotoriousPIG · 14/10/2026 19:15
  1. My manager, who thinks that it is fine to tell me to think about leaving as my migraines are disruptive to the rest of the team
  2. My manager's favourite (who also happens to be a telltale, a liar, and likes to spread rumours)
  3. I am now being dragged into a meeting because I've taken too much time off work... with migraines. Also in this meeting, with HR, will be my manager.
  4. My back, shoulders and neck are painful due to muscle tension.
  5. I have anxiety, but can't afford to take stress leave from work. If I do, I'll get a barrage of phone calls and people knocking on my door.
  6. I cried today, in front of a doctor, who then gave me lots of extra tablets to try (but I couldn't get the painkiller for my migraines, as it is now hospital-issue only, so I have no idea what I'm supposed to do when I get another one. It's already a six-day event, and that's WITH painkillers).
  7. DDog3 is digging a new hole under the fence. I much preferred the days of craters in the middle of the lawn.
