Badenoch walked into a major faux pas* during PMQs regarding Burnham's lack of understanding regarding national security. Step forward her recent disastrous interview regarding her proposed iron Dome for Great Britain.

  • see what I did there? 😁

It certainly begs the question what the right actually believes in when it comes to promoting a vibrant, functional and econically stable society, when the raison d'etre of the right is low to no taxes.

Also given that the right wing media constantly put articles forward criticising Restore and sometimes Reform it beggars belief that some posters on Mumsnet have never heard of Danny Tommo until his actions were highlighted by threads.

This civil war on the British right is a charade – its politics are more united than ever | Jonathan Liew

Don’t be fooled by its bickering leaders. Their calibrated fake fighting will probably end in coalition, says Guardian columnist Jonathan Liew

Jo Cox was not forgotten and neither was Ann Widdecombe.

Which is why I said "feels like" as opposed to "has been".

The Conservatives have finally given an explanation for how they over-stated the supposed cost of net zero by nearly £500bn in Kemi Badenoch’s flagship policy document. It was a “source error”, her spokesman says, which I think means it was copied from the IEA/Spectator and not checked.

No doubt in the days to follow, Farage will claim his words have been "misinterpreted".

"Speaking to Benny Johnson, a podcaster who has previously written for a series of rightwing US outlets, including Breitbart News, Farage discussed the arrival of asylum seekers on small boats, calling it “literally an invasion of people who could cause us enormous harm”.

Johnson asked him: “Do you believe in criminal penalties for those who facilitated this invasion of the English Isles?”

Farage replied: “Totally, totally. The role of the NGOs, the role of those that are sponsored by taxpayers’ money, because they’re nice, they’re good, they’re kind. They have actually aided and abetted criminality in absolutely every way."

Nigel Farage says charities that help asylum seekers reach UK should be prosecuted

Reform leader did not say who should be targeted but party figures have been critical of small boat rescues by RNLI

I see the "migrants taking all the new jobs" nonsense is back, in the Mail, Telegraph and Times.

Reminder that this is BS, and IPSO ruled repeatedly that this is not what the data says. I expect corrections from all of them (Times has already agreed to correct)

Andrew Sparrow's PMQs snap verdict has an interesting observation.

"Burnham saw off the Badenoch attack quite easily. (Badenoch will probably get written up as having scored a great victory in the papers that have swallowed this hogwash, but if the Tories end up believing their own spin, they are in more trouble than they realise.)"

Efacsen · Today 14:29

Yes I thought the same @placemats
