So many times over the last couple of weeks I've read about murders where they say that the victim was 'Unalived' rather than killed/murdered.

Why? Its driving me daft.

Remember when Scunthorpe kept being automatically blocked.

It's a wonder the algorithms haven't started to pick up 'unalived' as well. But then they'd have to come up with some other random term to replace it.

YouTube will even censor things like “calories” or “eating disorder” now. They don’t want anything that could upset their advertising partners so any word that could even vaguely be considered unpleasant is forbidden.

Nothing to do with being “triggered,” it’s all to do with tech giants and their whims. Will Company A object to their ad being run on a video that uses the word “murdered?” Well, better use AI to detect content that contains that word and either demonetise it or flag it in the algorithm so that no one sees it. Obviously then people won’t use those words because they don’t want the content they worked on to go unseen.
