Parking in Bath

I know this is the most boring of topics! However I am going on a day trip to Bath on Friday and wondered where is best to park? I've never been before. I've looked online but it's be helpful to know realistically which car parks are likely to have spaces. I'm feeling really unwell and have also hurt my ankle, so ideally I want to be as central as possible. We have an event booked on Widcombe Parade.
Thank you in advance ☺️

Southgate underground car park. It's literally below the shopping precinct where M&S etc is.
Charlotte Street is a long way up a hill. It's a long stay car park so it's only cheaper if you are staying more than 5 or 6 hours.
Or have a look here.

(Southgate is not a council car park)

I always park at keynsham train station and get the train in, I hate driving in bath.

Thank you all for the help. I'm travelling from Wales. I'm also a bit tight for time due to school runs and the time of the activity booking. I ended up booking a car parking space via myparkingspace.co.uk; 6.5 hours for £13 and a five minute walk from where I want to be. It'll make it so much easier knowing I'm guaranteed a space.

Oh, you must be going to the painting place or the escape room! Lansdown P&R will leave you a long walk away. Odd Down would be the best. Southgate car park is a good option if you can manage to walk for 5 minutes. Head to the train station, walk through the tunnel and cross the bridge to Widcombe.
