Morning All! What are you up to today?

I've just finished my first cuppa, pottering between kitchen and conservatory doing some small morning jobs. The washer's on it's second load of towels & the first is on the line & I'll fold the few bits from yesterday that weren't quite dry, in a minute.

I was heading to The Range today, for another look at their bedding and pillows, but, my eyeball is still itchy af & is rather swollen today 🙄 so a day of pottering it is. It's not as red as it was, or sore, though so some improvement. I'll fill out the e-consult form for my GP if it's the same in the morning. Unfortunately, I think I'll need to go back to work tomorrow.

So, a day of pottering; a bit of light gardening & shed tidying that wasn't done last weekend. Lots of crafting. Some small job off my "downstairs done by Christmas list". May write a list to nip into town for in the week - advent calendar fillers for the girls if anyone has any ideas. It's getting harder as they get older & I think I've left sample hunting too late!

Tea will be whatever we'd be having tomorrow - I accidentally froze the chicken bought yesterday for today...then forgot to retrieve it from the freezer overnight. We'll have a roast tomorrow.

Later on, much the same, probably an hour or two with my book, talk to dd1 and an early one ready for work tomorrow.

What about you? 🙂

I had a lovely lie in after being up early yesterday morning.

Done some chores, washed bedding and applied for a couple of teaching jobs.

Had lunch sat in the sun. What a lovely treat!

Waiting for DH to come home from work. DS has been in his room all day only emerging for food and drink. DD has done some revision and homework.

Quiet evening planned.

Hello @lucysmam and everyone. I completely missed yesterday as the day was all a bit full on. I have the most horrendous back/front/rib pain on my mastectomy side at the moment which has meant I have had to resort to strong painkillers which make me very sick and dopey 😭. So I woke up tired, nauseous and in pain.

I finally managed to use up the tomatoes we have been given, together with our own excess crop, to make a big batch of garlicky tomato sauce for pasta, some of which has been frozen and some we are having tonight. Then I had to make the mocha ganache for chorister grandson's birthday cake. By then I had had enough so Mr Dilemma heated up leftovers for our lunch..., which I promptly sicked up. All of it. Bloomin codeine! So I went to bed for a bit before decorating the birthday cake, extremely badly, and going out with Mr Dilemma to pick the birthday boy up from singing evensong at the cathedral. We took him home and enjoyed a lovely birthday tea with them all. I had been careful NOT to take any more codeine so it all stayed where it should, with the downside of being extremely uncomfortable (OK, in bloody agony) all evening.

This morning we went swimming... except there was somebody else there and it turns out I had booked it for next Monday not today. However I had had to resort to more codeine in the middle of the night so I was quite glad to come home and go back to bed.

I have phoned the breast care Patient Initiated Follow Up team and have a phone call scheduled for Thursday afternoon. I think it is radiotherapy related pain and I will just need physiotherapy, but my GP referred me about 9 months ago and I still haven't had an appointment... And better safe than sorry anyway. So yaaay!

I have a 'boudoir' photo shoot booked for Wednesday, although there won't be much 'boudoir' about it. I 'won' a free photo shoot and I would just like to have one photo where the photographer has done everything they can to make me look nice. Wish me luck!
