Morning All! What are you up to today?

I've just finished my first cuppa, pottering between kitchen and conservatory doing some small morning jobs. The washer's on it's second load of towels & the first is on the line & I'll fold the few bits from yesterday that weren't quite dry, in a minute.

I was heading to The Range today, for another look at their bedding and pillows, but, my eyeball is still itchy af & is rather swollen today 🙄 so a day of pottering it is. It's not as red as it was, or sore, though so some improvement. I'll fill out the e-consult form for my GP if it's the same in the morning. Unfortunately, I think I'll need to go back to work tomorrow.

So, a day of pottering; a bit of light gardening & shed tidying that wasn't done last weekend. Lots of crafting. Some small job off my "downstairs done by Christmas list". May write a list to nip into town for in the week - advent calendar fillers for the girls if anyone has any ideas. It's getting harder as they get older & I think I've left sample hunting too late!

Tea will be whatever we'd be having tomorrow - I accidentally froze the chicken bought yesterday for today...then forgot to retrieve it from the freezer overnight. We'll have a roast tomorrow.

Later on, much the same, probably an hour or two with my book, talk to dd1 and an early one ready for work tomorrow.

Well I have been up and packed lunch for dh as he was called to work early and was running around like a headless chicken 🐔

dd came home from uni for 24 hours yesterday, so I have to get lots of washing sorted.

DS has been asked to cover two paper rounds , so he’s happy as Larry , skipping off on his round deciding what to spend his extra millions on 😱

im going to tidy the lounge, strip the beds and have a cup of tea in the immediate future!

I have some life admin to do today, health stuff, looking into uni options for my son, my small business admin, generally tidying, decluttering, trying to make my busy week ahead less crazy!

Morning! I got back into bed and have doom scrolled in peace as dp headed out early. I intend to head out shoe shopping as I have an event next week and the shoes I ordered all seem to big, maybe sizes have changed! I may make a roast tonight when I return. I plan to drop in and visit my sibling also before I head home.

I need to do ironing.

Good morning all, beautiful sunny morning here and I have done an hour of gardening already. I’m aiming to do this every morning until the garden is tidy. I got rather damp yesterday so this morning’s sunshine was a bonus!
I have changed the bed, hung the washing out, made avocado toast and a big mug of coffee and now I have showered and can sit and do notalot for the rest of the day. I’m having chicken salad for dinner, DH has beef casserole and I will do him a jacket potato.
DH has taken bigger dog to the village for a walk and a coffee; he will gossip with anyone who stands still long enough 😊. Tiddler is asleep in a patch of sunlight on the carpet so it’s very peaceful here.

Cleaned the house. Got DH up to come to Asda with me. Doing nothing this afternoon.

Morning Sunday Squad

Im still in bed though have had tea and breakfast. Dog and DS been in playing. DD asleep. Think I’ll bring another cup of tea up before I get up and wash and take DDog for a big walk.

I have planned out 3 hours of studying. Plus the usual Sunday chores.

Not sure about tea yet. DH will go shopping later so will see what he turns up with. Quiet night watching episode 2 of the marble hall murders planned.

Good morning @lucysmam im at the first rugby blitz of the season for my DS. Then home to chill and make a roast chicken dinner 🙌🙌 all my laundry was done yesterday so I’m delighted today is a rest/family day ❤️

Its very windy here but mild so far. Rain is forecast soon. Its never far away in the west of Scotland where I live.
Im still in bed, I got up earlier to get my tea and toast, ate it then returned to bed.

Im off work today at last.

Was up at 6:40am which is late for me, but was awake between 1:30-4:30 bloody peri and early hours anxiety. Went back up to bed with coffee about 8am and snuggles with dp. Currently doom scrolling whilst dp watched the F1. Have the dishwasher to empty and load with last nights washing up. I'll get around to it eventually! Done 3 x loads of washing and drying yesterday so have all that to put away. Mums in hospital so will go see her this afternoon. Then it's packing as I'm away for work Mon-Fri 😩. I really
like where I work this week it's just the fact that it's a 4 hour drive. I just know the hospital are going to phone and say 'can you come and pick your Mum up please'. It's so hard dealing with this whilst trying to work full time! Also in the middle of the renovation project, so dp will likely go over there this afternoon.

Morning All.

Iv just made 4 lots of pastry, as I am making pasty’s for tea. Haven’t had a homemade one for a while. The boys are at Uni, so we’ll box up one each and send them in different directions around the country.

I’ve taken a fit in my head and I’m going to make some bread in a minute. It’s a no yeast job, so should be interesting. Never made it before, but if I can make pasty’s, I can make this I’m sure.

I need to clean the windows. Whether that will happen is anyone’s guess. The washing is out though, so that’s one thing accomplished today. I’m looking for a new cross stitch project, but everything is either too expensive or doesn’t interest me.

I should be cleaning downstairs because we have 8 people coming for Sunday lunch, but here I am, scrolling through Mumsnet.
Lovely sunny day here, but it was quite cold and foggy this morning. It was the first morning that felt properly autumnal.

I’ve just hung out two loads of washing. Now making a cheese sauce for Cauliflower cheese to go with a lemon/garlic chicken (which is in the slow cooker) and I’ve prepped my spuds, carrots, Savoy cabbage and the last of the runner beans from the garden (very poor crop this year 🙁).
I have some very ripe bananas to use up so may do a banana bread too (making the most of using the oven today as it’s half price from 11-4pm).
Popping to Dunelm later to get some thermal lined curtains for the office. Tonight is Choir practice - the joys of rehearsing Christmas songs in early October. Also need to clear down a load of emails from my inbox so will fire up the laptop too.

DH has brought us all some breakfast. I’ve got the kiddies ready and will get myself ready soon. We’re at the caravan. Will get packed up shortly and head home. The house will need a quick clean and then DH and the two bigger boys are going fishing with some of my family today. I’m going to go with the little one and do a walk and the park. Mum will probably do that with me.
I’ve ordered an Asda click and collect for this evening so when we get home it will be baths/showers all round and something nice but easy to eat. DH and I started watching blue lights last night so we’ll do an episode of that. Have a good day everyone!

Morning all, I've done a whites wash and ironing, both work clothes for the week and summer clothes that I had relegated to the spare wardrobe but we have booked a cheeky few days in Spain next week so I had to retrieve them. I've had breakfast and an extra cup of coffee, and watched a lesson from Rebel Finance School, I'm on week 7 and have already made lots of changes and feeling really positive.

Later we are doing 'something' but haven't decided what. We may go out for a Sunday lunch, or a pop to the seaside, or may go to the cinema. If we don't go out to eat, dinner is Spag bol and garlic bread. I'll practice my choir songs later, then maybe an episode of a TV show, we have just started watching Neagley (Reacher spin off). Early ish night planned as I like to be rested for another hectic work week.

Morning beautiful people. I was supposed to go back to work tomorrow after a week off with this grim virus (??covid) but I’ve coughed all night and am weak as a kitten so have just messaged boss lady.
DD and grandson are coming for cooked dinner (DH is doing it) and we will put a plate up for Son in law who’s working. So my day will be mainly nursing hot Vimto and feeling very sorry for myself!

I'm mid garden hour. Just stopped to drink some of my coffee & have a minute. Going to google how to actually care for the rather large pampas grass in the ground. Some of it is dead, and needs to come out, but that's too much like hard work for today. I also want to cut down what I thought was a shrub but remains unidentified & I actually think may be some sort of tree I certainly don't want! Definitely not a today job!

Need a plan of action for the honeysuckles too - they're poorly placed where they are & deserve better (listen at me enthusiastic about plants 🤣).

Once the remaining pansies/violas are in baskets, I may, or may not, put down the last of the weed membrane my dad gave me the other day & then call it quits for today.

Good afternoon lucysmam and others. Love the flowers! I was out (again) for second breakfast with family this time. I tried flat bread, halloumi and poached eggs with hot honey. It was delicious. Back home and I'm about to do some Spanish then stick the tumble dryer on. This afternoon I will potter about then make chicken curry for dinner. Enjoy your day all.

I was up at 3:30 to take part in a dusk to dawn charity swim at my local lido (my slot was early morning, so I managed to sleep in my own bed).

DH, DS and I have been out for a south Indian brunch.

I've done some tidying up, got my suitcase out for my holiday next week, now I've flopped.

We'll walk to the pub later.

DH is making kimchi. DS is sorting out his Halloween costume.

Burgers in front of a film for supper. And a treat for the cat as we got her a year ago today.

Afternoon @lucysmam & everyone. Busy day so far. Up around 7.30 to make a cuppa & did a bit of pottering, including putting on a load of washing. Back to bed to have said cuppa with DH. After he’d had his shower, I had one then blow dried & styled my hair which I hardly ever do these days. Need colouring desperately! Sold a few bits on Vinted so will finish parcelling them up & drop them to the PO. I have several to collect from various Inpost lockers. The texting isn’t working but I can trawl through my thousands of E Mails to find the collection codes. DD17 & I went into town as she wanted “sensible” undies & to look at foundations. I tried not to look at everything in TK Maxx! Took a pic of a lovely snowglobe. Tesco Express on the way home. I’m now having a chicken mayo sandwich for lunch, although I haven’t been feeling 100% since I woke up so hoping I won’t regret it. It’s a stunning day here in Cornwall & really warm. I might sit in the garden later on. Tea is what we were going to have yesterday. Ended up going to the chippy last night. The load of washing needs to be hung out plus my uniform which is having a spin. There’s quite a few bras to soak too. Haven’t read the thread so hope everyone is having a good Sunday so far.

Afternoon all!

It’s been a quiet day for us. DH and I had two funerals on Friday (literally an hour apart at the crematorium then both wakes were back at the same pub which was handy for us) and it ended up being an all day and night affair after one of them so needed a quiet weekend after that.

DH was working last night and got home at quarter to 5 and found I was still awake as our 22yo had gone to a birthday party at the local pub and still wasn’t home. They’d all had a house party after apparently and she eventually rolled home around 6am. I’m starting to get a taste of what my poor parents must have gone through back in the late 90s/early 2000s with me. 🙈

So right now I’m just chilling with a coffee and a Spider-Man movie and everyone else is still sleeping.

This morning has been a success, bread actually turned out good, which shocked me! 😳

Pasties made and will be put on to cook later. At least I can call these Cornish!!

Now enjoying a well earned beer or two.
