I was born & grew up in Bath now the other side of the country to be near grandchildren, I don’t feel that it’s home to me & it’s so expensive to re visit Bath as Hotel prices so expensive .

Adopted, been here 30 years and love it.

Born in one SE postcode now live in another SE post code

Born and raised an hour away but lived here longer than anywhere else. Not interested in being adopted, I’m happy being an outside alien as it’s all a bit small town mentality for me.

Born a stones throw from my current home but I haven't always lived here. DH has moved from one coast to the other.

Recently moved to my DH’s home town, my spiritual home. Ecstatic.

Not born, lived here for 27 years, not adopted either. I'm from Yorkshire and moved to the Lancashire/Merseyside border; the Wars of the Roses haven't been forgotten or forgiven yet.

I escaped* from where I grew up, and this little patch of countryside is my refuge, and I'm grateful!

*My family has lived there since the Dawn of Time. It was expected that I'd marry a local boy, live there, raise two children and stay there forever. Alas, I did not, and I'm resisting the Curse that draws people back to the village when they attempt to leave its boundaries!

Adopted. Moved from my home town 6 years ago and have the best life here in my adopted home town.

Not born here but have lived here 26 years. Our children have grown up here. Feels like home now.

Born in London, lived there for most of my life. Moved 2 years ago to Frome in Somerset and love it.

Not a town or city but been here over 25 years and a long way from where I was born. Fully integrated into the (small) local community.

Never had any desire to move back to where I was born.

I’m not legally allowed to live in the country where I was born.
