By the by, prostitution is not work. There are many irrefutable reasons why this is so, but it's always useful to reiterate them.
To get jobseeker allowance you are required to prove you are applying for any eligible jobs you might be reasonably expected to get.
If being a prostitute was a job, therefore, every single unemployed person in the UK would be required to apply for prostitution "work". There would be no exceptions because there is a fetish for every single person. Fat, thin, dying, wheelchair user, paraplegic - there's a vile prostitute user and a manky fetish for every body.
Oh, and as whoremongers always increase demand with supply, no amount of bodies fed to the industry would satisfy the creatures who use prostitutes.
Anyway, aren't you glad it's not a job, since you know you definitely would not want your son, daughter, wife, husband or other loved one having to be a prostitute to survive?
But wait, there's more.
People erroneously try to compare it to dangerous labour, like manual jobs on mining sites. But of course that's nonsense because those jobs do their very best to limit or remove all the harms, using PPE, putting processes in place to try to spare their workers injury.
Men who use prostitutes do not ever accept those sorts of restrictions aimed at saving prostitutes from damage and injury. For many men, harming, strangling, punching and hurting prostitutes is a large part of it, and is quite deliberate.
Sometimes people erroneously try to compare prostitution to a service job, or a cleaning job. But that's nonsense of course, since no prositute abuser would accept being told he had to accept emptying his sperm onto an old woman when he wants to abuse a young woman, or a man when he wants a woman.
Sometimes people erroneously try to compare prostitution to boxing or other harmful jobs - but of course that doesn't work either, because again in boxing men wear gum guards, gloves and and the referee can stop the match at any point, whereas a prostitute being battered by a user has nobody there to help her and he'd laugh if she blew a whistle and tear the gum guard from her mouth if she tried to use one.
Additionally, you cannot unionise as a prostitute because pimps also call themselves sex workers and infiltrate and invade the unions ensuring nobody can offer any effective unionisation or help to prostitutes.
If you do decide to leave your job cleaning toilets, you don't have to have domestic violence assistance, police intervention or any other protection put in place to do so, as so many prostitutes do when they try to escape prostitution. You just hand in your notice and go about your day.
And finally "sex work" is not a neutral term. It was invented by pimps and whoremongers to attempt to normalise the extreme damage and harm done to prostitutes and the horrifying harms of the industry which churns through women and girls, and men and boys, at a horrifying speed.
It is damaging to use the term "sex worker" which is why I use the correct term - prostitute. There's no debate on this, by the way, I've just stated irrefutable facts. If you find yourself becoming enraged by this, that's a you problem. If you attempt to argue with me, you will be unable to do so as I will just keep repeating the facts.
Some people do use the term prostituted women/girls/boys/men - I prefer the simple term prostitutes as some women do choose the life of being a prostitute. See Bonnie Blue.
