Being sick everyday for 4 weeks

inkgirl · Yesterday 01:39

As the title says. Ive been sick everyday for the last 4 weeks, usually just a little. This time it was quite a bit. Not sure why I was sick as not eaten nice lunch time. I have a doctor's appointment on the 19th for something else. Do I wait till then and talk about it adding to a list of things I have to talk to them about or call 111 in the morning? I'm not pregnant. Pregnancy tests are negative so not sure why I'm being sick. Dont usually get stomach pains with the sickness and nausea but tonight I'm in a fair bit of pain right in the centre of my stomach.

You need to get urgent medical support because this isn’t normal. I would phone 111. Possibly even go to A&E.

I don’t think you should wait.. that sounds debilitating, sending so much love your way. It could be a blockage somewhere maybe, so would be better to get checked at an urgent treatment centre if you have a local one? 111 are able to advise you. I hope you get to the bottom of it, and feel better soon 🫶🏼

Do you feel bloated? You really need to get this seem to as it has been over a few weeks.

Thankfully we do have an urgent care centre but its not open this time of night. Its partly why I was hoping to wait till morning

Does the pain get worse when you press it? Any hot or cold sweats? Shakiness or shivering?

If you were to call 111 now, and be triaged, they are likely to refer you to the urgent treatment centre in the morning anyway, and if not that then A&E. Once they called my GP in the morning and told them they needed to see me , which was helpful. It’s worth calling them for advice x

You don’t need A&E but you do need to be seen reasonably quickly. Can you trial some antacids in case it’s gastritis in the mean time?

Its hurts slightly more when pressing on it, not hot or cold sweets. No shakes or shivering either

I had a camera down my throat awhile ago and gastritis was something that was spotted.

Ah, this could be what is going on. Gastritis is horrible. I hope you’re feeling better soon. When did you have the endoscopy?

Go to A&E or urgent care if you are getting no joy from your GP.
This can be a symptom of some serious conditions.

I'm in hospital, did the 111 online form they rang me and sent an ambulance currently waiting on blood test results and more tests, they think it's a possible gastric bleed

I wouldn’t wait until the 19th with this, especially as you’ve now got quite a lot of central abdominal pain on top of being sick every day for four weeks. I’d call 111 in the morning and explain the whole picture, including how often you’ve been vomiting and that the pain is new. They can advise whether you need to be seen sooner.
If the pain becomes severe or rapidly worse, or you develop other worrying symptoms, I wouldn’t wait for the appointment or even the morning — seek urgent medical help. Four weeks of recurring vomiting definitely sounds like something worth getting properly assessed rather than just adding it to the list for another appointment.

In hospital now they've ran a few tests and think its to do with my hitius herna and gasistris.
