Being sick everyday for 4 weeks

As the title says. Ive been sick everyday for the last 4 weeks, usually just a little. This time it was quite a bit. Not sure why I was sick as not eaten nice lunch time. I have a doctor's appointment on the 19th for something else. Do I wait till then and talk about it adding to a list of things I have to talk to them about or call 111 in the morning? I'm not pregnant. Pregnancy tests are negative so not sure why I'm being sick. Dont usually get stomach pains with the sickness and nausea but tonight I'm in a fair bit of pain right in the centre of my stomach.

If you don't keep food down by then make sure they prescribe some protein shakes. Fingers crossed its some inflammation and you are on the mend soon.

Are you taking diet pills?⁷

I had something similar and the food was not getting through. Had a camera put down And then had a manometry test. Diagnosed with Achalasia. Had to have Botox injected into the esophagus. You need tests not being sent home

Have they given you a PPI to reduce stomach acid or any antisickness to try?

if not I would pop to your pharmacy this morning and see what you can get.

Has anyone mentioned appendicitis?

Apparently its all to do with my gastritis

They won't do anymore then a blood test because they cane back normal

They've prescribed a ppi to try. I pick them up by today

I had exactly the same Op, so sorry you are suffering. I had to have small bland meals and stop eating by 6 or 7pm. I had to start with tiny amounts of rice an mash potato and still can't digest any dairy. PPIs didn't work, but once you are feeling better a low fodmap diet and MSM sulphur twice a day has finally made a massive difference.

Sounds like bad gastritis and you need an urgent endoscopy. If you start throwing up anything that looks like coffee grounds go to A&E again straight away. That’s the medical emergency, otherwise see your GP on Monday first thing for the referral (get emergency appt).

I have mild gastritis - and GORD - always trying to keep it at bay so I know a bit about these things. Have had a couple of endoscopies. PPIs are standard treatment plus some dietary modifications.

They didn't prescribe any anti sickness tablets either?
So this is the 2nd time in 24 hrs you're in hospital on IV fluids...not keeping food or fluids down, dropping your blood pressure, and feeling dizzy?

Have you asked for the blood results?

Drink full fat lemonade, for the energy. And maybe some Dioralyte sachets for the electrolytes ( I know you don't have diarrhoea, but this is no weather to not be tolerating any food, and they obviously feel you need fluids as they've given you IV fluids twice in 36 hours now).
Take the PPI and give food a try when you've got a good 2 does in.
Very bland, very small amounts of food. No heavy protein, fats or dairy products. ( all harder on the gut).

What painkillers have they given you?

Did they scan you? It sounds similar to gallstones. I had very bad gallstones where my stomach was literally full of them and when they did remove it some of them had dislodged from my stomach and had to be removed separately to my gallbladder.
I was really sick before the operation and then came down with such bad pains DH called an ambulance. They scanned me the following day and found the issue.
I hope it's not that as I do remember recovery time being quite a long time but was better than being in constant pain.
Hopefully they'll find the cause. I can't believe the hospital sent you home when you're so ill.

Thats what they've said it is, the pain is so bad

Think they gave me anti sickness tablets, pick them up layer today. This pain is unbearable. They've given me codeine which i have to pick up later

No they didn't scan me, because the blood tests are normal they felt they didnt need to

There will be no gastro doctors at the weekend. They have an A and E doctor making the decision that you’re fine and can blame it on your existing conditions. But, that’s not good enough. You’re not normally sick every day and in constant pain.

Is there another hospital you can go to?

I was hospitalised with gastritis. 6 weeks of omeprazole and cocodamol just about did the job. May need to go to the GP to get more gastro resistant meds though as was only given 2 weeks worth initially. Feel for you, it’s agony!
