I was in a lift once with Marc Almond. Loved Soft Cell and Marc and the Mambas - their Untitled Album is in my top 10.

Just adding the Soft Cell one is much better and the music in particular is much better.

I wasn't a fan of Marc Almond in the 80s possibly I was a tiny bit young for his sophistication and I had an older brother who said horrible things about him to crush any enthusiasm.
In recent years I have finally given myself chance to appreciate his genius. I have to stop and listen to this it is so beautiful.

And as much as I love David Gray (Snow in Vegas❤️). His version isn't as soul searching/dramatic/unique.
I'm going to ask Alexa to play it.while I lay in bed. thankyou.

Erotic Cabaret from Argos (when they used to sell LPs) with Christmas money when I was 12, just after it was released. Marc Almond’s voice is perfection.

Loved The Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go 12”, it was always played in clubs in the mid 80s and it takes me right back whenever I listen to it.
