She hasn’t been called Kate Middleton for about 15 years now. When that picture was taken she was the Duchess of Cambridge, now she’s the Princess of Wales.

Ofc, it's her "Title" not her name.....there is nothing Wrong with calling her from her name, it's your choice..... it's not a disrespect at all

there’s nothing wrong with calling her Kate Middleton, everyone knows who that person is.

But on a forum, no-one’s going to say The Princess of Wales, are they? It’s creepily formal.

Funchythesnowwoman · 03/08/2026 11:27

The Daily Mail always refer to the POW as Kate Middleton. No idea why though.

No they don’t, they call her Kate or the princess of wales.

Why do we still as (mostly) women have to critique if something suits someone or not. If she or any other person wants to wear it then let her bloody wear it!

This!!!

She looks radiant in the lilac one

deeahgwitch · 03/08/2026 11:44

The lilac is beautiful on her as so many of her choices are.

Funchythesnowwoman · 03/08/2026 11:46

All of her Jenny Packham evening dresses are beautiful.

dogsmaid · 03/08/2026 11:51

yes it’s a lovely colour on her

FallenNight · 03/08/2026 11:58

When people call her Kate, and others comment I always imagine Mrs Elton calling Mr Knightly, Mr K, or my dear friend Knightly, and Emma getting all affronted at her vulgarity.

I quite like the dress, couldn't wear it as I'm busty and would like a wench in a rich persons frock.

She took her husband's name when she got married, like many women do.

I chose to take DH's name when I got married and I'd be quite annoyed if people continued to call me by my maiden name. Presumably you'd show your friends the same courtesy?

Her husband's surname and her given "title" aren't same, so what's your point?

That white inset is a bit buxom barmaidy😂maybe she could wear it to Oktoberfest.

orangehandles · 03/08/2026 12:23

Why are you referring to her by her previous surname and why have you gone back to 2020?

Confused

Her husbands surname is Mountbatten Windsor, and that's not even real.

Anarchy99 · 03/08/2026 12:25

Didn’t she marry someone 15-ofd years ago and change her name from Middleton?

And I look forward to reading further threads on the outfits of the male members of the RF 😬

Maybe the Men are discussing that on Dadsnet, but I would hazard a guess that they have more important things to do, such as in ruling the World!

No surnames are ‘real’ in that someone had to come up with them at some point

Why do we insist on being our own worst enemies? It’s a shame.
