Good Morning All! What's everyone's plans for today?

I've just finished my first cuppa of the day, sitting with dd2, in the conservatory. Girl cat's curled up on one of the chairs in here, boy wandered off shouting & hasn't been back. Dd2's been up ages & has done the majority of the pottering jobs I would have done when I got up.

She's off out with her friends today to a witchy market in town & then for food. Her friend also wants to head to one of the yarn shops in town so I've placed my order too 🤣. I'm not sure where they'll eat - probably Maccies.

I have no idea if dd1 wants to do anything today - she did a shift in London yesterday, & crashed through the door around 1am, so is currently still sleeping.

If not, I'll just potter here. There's plenty to be done & I have a crochet project to crack on with that I haven't started yet.

We're having lemon & herb prawns for tea - not sure what with yet - since dd2 doesn't like prawns. I might wander to Lidl for a bottle of something to accompany them 🍷.

This evening I'll read - I picked out a new book from my tbr, the other day, but haven't started yet. I expect the girls will watch some more of The Rookie - they'd got as far as season 6 last time I asked!

What about all of you? 🙂

Afternoon.
A walk to the post office, followed by dog walk, followed by pub lunch.
Now catching up with MN, then washing all of the bedding. Robovac is cleaning the downstairs. Living the life!

Happy Saturday!

Had a lie in, then tidied around, did a tiny amount t of ironing and hung out washing. Nipped to pick DH up from work. He's now finished for 2 weeks. Off on a city break on Monday!.

Gammon and pineapple for tea then a few rounds of Uno with the kids!

Oops! Definitely very late here today, soz!
I had coffee with a friend this morning, she’s been such a huge support for me.
having my surgery Tuesday and was having a wobble 😬🥺
I think I’m sorted, so much to think about when your DH isn’t proactive or supportive.
I’m really enjoying doing sashiko, so just spent three hours in my Shed with tiddler, listening to podcasts as I stitch.
Still wishing for rain here!

I am having the best day! After weeks of being non-stop, I finally have a weekend off all life. So I went for a massage this morning, then to my favourite breakfast place to get a hot sandwich and supplies for the fridge. Walked home a really scenic route and picked up some DIY bits I need for tomorrow, a new ribbed glass pump dispenser for washing liquid I fancied for the utility room and a new jigsaw puzzle. Then I spend the afternoon in my comfy chair in the garden with cold drinks and my book.

Tea will be a chicken taco salad with avocado, mozzarella and charred beans, followed by the king of ice creams - a raspberry magnum. Then I think I’ll start my new puzzle this evening.

tomorrow is a big DIY day but I love that and find it enjoyable. I’m going to be repairing some parts of the wooden staircase so I can get it sanded down and painted and looking better! Plus a general big clean.

I just ran 9 miles as part of my half marathon training and I am sitting on our patio with a cup of tea (it's late morning here) contemplating a quick nap.

Hello. Just ok here as I spent my sons birthday in the hospital rather than cooking him the meal he requested. Twisted ovarian cyst and there is no pain like it. I came home Thursday and since then have felt tired and bloated - though that may be psychosomatic as I didn’t before and it’s not like the thing popped up out of nowhere. They managed the pain and I guess it’s untwisted itself because I’m not in pain now. Because I am post menopausal and all indications (blood tests, pelvic exam and scan) seem to indicate it’s not cancerous (though they can’t rule it out) I was discharged and put on a two week referral which is a joke as my MRI, to get a better picture of what they’re dealing with, is scheduled for mid October! Not even at the same hospital. They say it must come out but want the MRI first. Pain has 50/50 chance of recurring and it makes me reluctant to go anywhere - I’m supposed to go to the Isle of Wight later this month and Spain in October (not a holiday). So lucky my son was here but he’s gone home now as he has work. My DD is in Columbia still not back for a couple weeks. I wish they’d just schedule the op as once the MRI is done I don’t want to again wait months. I do have a dear friend who will drop everything and get me to the hospital (fortunately close by) if the pain comes back. On the other side so happy the weather has moderated a bit but see it’s going up again next week - the hospital was very stuffy.

Good evening @lucysmam & everyone - I was planning to post this morning but was starting work at 12 & the time just went. DH left for work a little before 8 & I dozed until about 8.30. Normally he would bring me a cuppa but I was too sleepy. Made one when I got downstairs along with toast & some four fruit jam. Hung DH’s shirts & a tea towel out & did the dishwasher. Lovely here although it’s clouded over a bit now. DD17 rang & it was lovely because she wasn’t just phoning to ask for money. Work was INSANE & we were so short staffed again. Luckily I didn’t get any nasty customers. Had quite a laugh with some folks. After my shift I picked up some Vinted parcels from 2 different shops. All Lilliput Lane cottages which I am currently obsessed with! Sadly one of the chimneys on one of them is broken but I think I did it when I was opening the parcel. It’s a beautiful piece & actually the chipped chimney gives it character. Starving when I got home so ate a cold cooked chicken breast with mayo & had a cuppa. DH was going to make sausage pasta for tea but I gave him the option of making it another day as he works a 6 day week & often gets quite tired on Saturday evenings. Actually in the end we decided to do the bangers with chips & peas. Probably fairly late as I had the chicken. No plans for this evening. DH had suggested going out to one of the local harbour villages for fish & chips but I’m quite tired & it will be very busy everywhere. Good that he did that though as we have been saying about trying to go out more. Might put a film on later & I need to wrap a vintage enamel cake tin that I sold on Vinted. £2 from the charity shop & I got £6 but reckon I could have made more as there was a lot of interest. I also bought a silver teapot for £2 & there’s an identical one on E Bay for £30! Started to concentrate more on the bric a brac section than the clothes. The volunteers are lovely except the lady who was helping to put my purchases through the till last time - she didn’t crack a smile! Also made some pointed comment about how near to closing time I was purchasing. In the wrong job! Her colleague could not have been any nicer. Haven’t read the thread but hoping everyone’s having a good one 🙂🙂

This is like my DD who is 14. She has always been an early riser and still is. While I hear about other teenagers not getting up until midday, she gets up before me on weekends😀. Good luck for A level results day!

It’s my birthday today so DD, my Mum and me are off out for a fancy pub lunch. Very much looking forward to it and need to get my act together as we’re leaving very shortly!!

Hope all have lovely Saturdays🙂.

Happy Birthday 🎈🎉🎂🎁🍾🥂💐🎇🎆
