The French team don't do nervous, they are in synch and at ease with the big occasion. We have Bellingham and Kane to score but need to work on keeping possession and creating scoring opportunities . The accuracy and attacking style of the French will trouble them I think.

France will. They have looked comfortably the best team in the tournament since it started. I expect them to beat Spain on Tuesday night, then go on to beat the winner of the England v Argentina game in the final. I hope I’m wrong & that England can raise their level enough to challenge France but I’m certainly not betting on it.

I think they might get to the final. They’ve got some underdog energy going for them. They were nearly beaten by DRC, having to take on Mexico at home, Norway had real momentum. I think they may inch past Argentina then fall at the final hurdle. I think England’s unofficial World Cup motto is go deep then disappoint. I do think they may pressure traditionally heaped on by tabloids then the inevitable evisceration doesn’t help.

I’d rather Spain won as it’d be great for next World Cup if hosts were also champions but I think it’ll be France.

What puts me off them winning is the screams for an extra very short notice Bank Holiday Monday. Ppl will have medical appointments booked. I know of at least three chemists who dont open on a Saturday so it would be yet another weekend where they arent open for three days (half a week)

I wonder why it’s always a Monday for a bank holiday , none of the banks are around much anymore ( the reason we have them I believe and why they are called bank holidays !)
Why not a Friday ? Pharmacies open on Saturdays round here , that might work better!
