I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, with boy cat. He's bird watching out the window but my feeders are empty & I've run out of seed to refill them 😥. May nip to B&M after work tomorrow or Tuesday for some.

Today is another day of wardrobe building - top to screw down, shelf to go in, drawers to build, doors to go on. Hopefully done by mid-day! When it's done, I'll help dd2 hang and organise her clothes if she wants. If not, I have 3 walls of the hallway to finish painting with <this> much paint left. My dad nipped to B&Q for me on Friday but it's been recalled to re-brand 🙄. I'm toying with watering down what's left slightly.

Assuming it's not too late when that's done, we're going to bedazzle dd2's school leaver's shirt. If it's getting late after wardrobe building, I'll skip the painting for today to do the shirt.

Somewhere in there I need to book trains and flights with dd1for gigs over the next few weeks, and organise someone (hopefully my dad) to be here on Friday morning for my new sofa delivery. Some dickhead booked the wrong delivery day & didn't realise they'd made their life a touch more difficult 🤔.

Tea might be a help yourself affair - I forgot to get anything out last night. Or, it might be sausages, they should defrost quickly.

I didn't manage to get on yesterday but hope everyone had a good Saturday!

Weather was rubbish yesterday so other than swimming we didn't do much.

Today DC1 is going over to a friends house, he's doing a journey he hasn't done before but his mate is meeting him at the station. We're quite central so as long as he gets on the right train it's a simple journey.

DP is working for a few hours so I'll do bacon / sausage rolls for when he is home. A proper "Sunday" brunch.

Later he is taking the girls for a long bike ride and I'll do some ironing and prep dinner (a one pot Tuscan chicken which I do with broccoli and new potatoes)

Later will be baths, finish homework and an early night.

I was up early this morning. Have been out and mowed the front grass and trimmed the hedge. Wanted to get that done before it rains.

Not going to do much this afternoon. Probably brew up a pot of fresh coffee and browse online.

Chicken pie with new potatoes for tea. Looking forward to that.

I had a nice lie-in until almost 9am.
Got some washing on the line nice and promptly, after yesterdays complete wash-out. I'm not trusting the sky though, so am keeping an eye on it!
I've just had a coffee, but it tasted a bit... "funny"... Yet I still drank most of it! I hope it wasn't the milk. There is only a little bit left in the bottle, but I think I'll tip the rest away. I hope it doesn't backfire on me in the bathroom in a while!
I'm usually fairly robust with that sort of thing though, so aren't really worried.

I'm about to head out the front and do a spot of weeding, then I rather fancy an afternoon with my book and/or Netflix!

Afternoon all! I was up early and cleaned and tidied. Also walked the dog. Made breakfast wraps for brunch which were very good. Just been and dropped one dc to their friends. I need to get on with some work but I’d rather not! Burgers for tea while I wait for a food delivery later.

I went to a bonsai show this morning, which was really enjoyable. DD is coming round later and has offered to cook us her famous chilli con carne. DH has just asked me if I would like a nice cup of tea. I said yes please. 😁
Other than that, not much going on.

Good afternoon @lucysmam & The Sunday Crew. Really not sure how it’s gone 1pm already! Had a bit of a lie in til 6.45am! Made a cuppa for me & DH to have in bed. Pottered about a bit whilst the tea brewed. I actually had brekkie today (chocolate malted wheats) then another cuppa. Dishwasher done, although there’s enough left for another load, and 2nd lot of laundry including our duvet cover is on now. DD17 came downstairs relatively early & asked me to watch tv with her. Then I popped to Tesco Express as she used a whole pint of milk to make hot chocolate. Also went into town as I needed painkillers from Boots.Tested a lovely Ghost perfume with strawberries & marshmallow etc - think it’s called “ Sweetheart”. Really nice for summer. Now chilling & thinking about photographing more things for Vinted. Might write a few letters later on. DH will go for a bike ride if it stays dry. It’s pretty cloudy here in Cornwall but no rain at least. Debating making a tuna mayo & iceberg lettuce sandwich for lunch. We’re having sausages, roast spuds, asparagus & tenderstem broccoli for tea. Asparagus isn’t an ideal match with bangers but I bought it to go with salmon then never cooked it. Will watch the soaps tonight, rescheduled from Friday. Have a great day all ❤️

I’m just in from church, had lunch there so nothing to sort right now. Dh and ds (only child who still lives at home) are watching the Monaco Grand Prix so I’ve got a couple of hours free! Having a cheeky glass of wine and pootering about on MN and facebook. Got a few bits of online shopping to do as well. Plus I’m a cat cushion right now!
later will go to Tesco and do the weekly shop, haven’t decided what’s for dinner tonight, used to always do a roast but there’s only 3 of us now the girls have both moved out, they sometimes come for dinner but both are working today.

Rained and was more than a bit breezy down here yesterday wasn’t it?

I did rush a bit this morning getting the lawns (ok front and side grass! 😀) and hedge done as it looked like rain. It’s quite breezy here still but dry. Hedge clippings went for a fly up the road.

I think I got most of them. Must have looked odd me up the road brushing up!!

Afternoon all

I had a bit of a lie in after a long day yesterday.
My parents popped by earlier and both children have appeared after sleepovers. I’ve walked the dog and basically done everything I can to avoid essay work.

Having a wee moment to myself. Not sure why. Will try do a little work then relax. Just struggling to lift my mood today.

Steaks for tea tonight made by DH so that should be good. Usual clothes and uniform to sort out too.

P .S Now compiling my meals list for the week. Need to use stuff up out of the freezer.

I have been gardening most of the day and DH has been doing laundry, taking advantage of the weather.
I have everything planted and I have resited and filled some of my earthenware chimney pots, weeded and sorted the beds, and repotted some of the saplings that are waiting to go down to the land.
I am just having a rest and a scroll, then going out to cut down some of the incredibly invasive hop. I love the flowers, but it goes everywhere and tries to strangle everything else, including my poor honeysuckle.
Then, when it inevitably rains, I will probably end up reading, even though I have tons of stuff I should be getting on with in the house..
Tonight I have a zoom call with the coven, some members of which are widely spread this summer.
DH is doing dinner, but I don't know what it will be.

We’ve spent the morning gardening. Strimmed and trimmed all the bushes and conifers in the back garden, it was well overdue and looks so much better. I got a line of clothes dry too despite the grey clouds.
I then had a nap whilst DH watches the Monaco GP. We will be there in three weeks celebrating DH retirement. Plan to walk the track.
A quick FaceTime with DS2 later as he needs picking up from the train station tomorrow. Back from uni after three years, and probably noodles and veg for tea.

Woke up in the camper with DP about 8 and made coffee from bed! Then made ham and cheese omelettes before moving our pitch to a lakeside one (it was busy when we got here yesterday but most people have gone now!) struggled but managed to put up the awning in the strong winds and then headed out to climb a f*ing big hill and do a six mile hike. It was stunning and the rain held off. We got to have our packed lunch looking out over beautiful Snowdonia.

Back at the campsite I had a lovely hot shower and now we’re sitting in our lounge (awning) with a beautiful view of Lake Bala. It’s raining and blowing a gale outside but we have a fan heater and are cosy as anything. Cheese and meat for dinner in a bit and then probably in bed by nine! Lovely Jubbly!

We were talking about going for a plunge when we got back before our showers but the wind put pay to that idea! Maybe if we get a sunny spell?

Loads of hardened Welsh people in/on it earlier today, us southern soft townies could only look on in admiration!

I’ve just scoffed a few too many chocolate covered corn flake thingys (do they have a name)? And am listening to one of those weird fictional podcasts about family revenge. So one sided but entertaining. I’m about to start crocheting while I await the next installment from my DD who is editing an academic journal - I’m a second eye to make sure the punctuation and spelling and references are correct. I’m certainly learning a lot about academic journal style! As well as learning more about Uganda cultural influences, Buddhism, Scottish forest classification and that ‘resultantly’ is an actual word!
I’ve eaten my dinner (leftovers) for a very late lunch and the aforementioned chocolates things so will probably just have a bowl of muesli later. Almost at the end of Resident Alien. I hear a bottle of red calling…

Well, the wardrobe is up. I went for a nap at 2pm...absolutely done in! Have managed not much else other than filling it and moving dd1's single wardrobe for me to use.

I have got rid of a clothes rail, and re-sited a chest of drawers too - I'll re-vamp the drawers to live at the bottom of the stairs for now. Flights and trains mostly booked - must organise move out day with dd1 this coming week.

Need a BIG clean and tidy up after work tomorrow, and possibly a spot of decorating. Although dd2's shirt really needs to take priority this week I think! I'll see what time it is when the house is organised.

I popped to the shops, put together about 40 feet of bunting which I started yesterday. Did 3 hours of gardening, FaceTimed a friend. Cooked chilli for dinner which I ate with DH who has been finishing off loads of DIY all day.
