Turned up late to hair appointment and stylist was away

I booked a hair appointment t dir today. I turned up an hour late as I wrote the wrong g time in my diary. My stylist wrote it on a post it note. When I got there the other stylist looked annoyed and said my stylist was on holiday but she could do me anyway. I said no I prefer my usual one. So I have been given another appointment for 2 weeks time with my own stylist.

Not sure how that happened. It was a bit embarrassini was looking forward to seeing mystylist as we get on well and have a laughs.

Fascinating, do tell what happened next?

Hey the OP isnt mumofonealoneandwell. She in fact does some great posts and doesn't deserve the criticism that some posters on here are directing at her. One poster in particular seems weirdly preoccupied with her.

There's some very unpleasant behaviour on this thread. You might not like the OP. You might not like another poster who has nothing to do with this thread and isn't even here to defend herself but that's no justification for the unpleasant comments.

I made a doctor's appointment, having waited three weeks to see if the problem would self resolve. I got an appointment the next week, but by then I felt better so I cancelled it. The end.

No she told me at the last appointment , she was going to be absent so I'd have to work around when she was not at the salon. I then said, Kenny, adelady, do my hair.If you're not around, and she said she can so she booked it, and I mistakenly thought that she'd booked it for when she was next going to be around and when I turned up the other ladies said she was absent.So I just went back home again

Can people be decent ? Mocking someone and making fun of someone is not nice. You do not know what difficulties she has either.

Turning up on time is decent. An hour late is obnoxious.

So is this the same hairdresser that did a patch test on you in February and you ended up itchy and wanted them to be shut down, but then said it was actually shingles?!

Two weeks will go faster than you think, and you'll soon see the stylist you like again.

I agree with that but that's not where the mickey taking is largely centred. My main point though was the mocking of another poster who isn't even on the thread and there is no excuse for that.

I think it's a spell.....

I once arrived on time at my hairdresser's and she was just leaving.
She seemed surprised to see me and I was surprised that she was surprised.
She said "Oh, you've decided to come then"
I said "Yes, I thought I would because I've got an appointment with you"
She said "But you cancelled this morning"
I said "No I didn't"
She said "But you rang me"
I said "No I didn't"
So she had a look at her computery thing and saw she had a client with the same surname as me who hadn't turned up that morning. So it must have been her who rang in. Which should have been a clue. Also I've been going there since 2020 so she knows me very well, and I have a fairly strong Northern accent and I live in the South East (I work hard at maintaining it by going back up there once a month for a top up)

Oh how we laughed. I doubt either of us will ever forget it.
