Loop earplugs

Has anybody tried Loop earplugs? Are they worth buying? I'm getting targeted ads and I'm very tempted due to interruped sleep at the moment, but curious that they could be a gimmick?

Watching as I’ve put them on my birthday list!!!

DanaScullysLegoHair · 01/06/2026 22:41

They're great. Definitely worth having!

TheWisePanda · 01/06/2026 22:42

I have some. They are very comfy to wear,
and I forget I have them in, so from that perspective they are good. But I don’t think they work better than any other ear plugs. Also you are meant to be able to change the level of sound that you want to hear - as far as I can tell it makes no difference at all.

RandomMess · 01/06/2026 22:43

I didn’t find them good enough to block out noise to sleep, was very disappointed.

Crumpledsmile · 01/06/2026 22:43

I have some Loop dupes that I bought from Amazon. They were only £5 or so and they are great. I’ve tried the real ones and I can’t tell the difference tbh.

I got some of the sparkle ones to use at work, they are meant for concerts etc but they reduce the chatter in the office to a dull sound.

Same, I returned them.

I hate mine. Even the smallest size of the ear inserts hurt and don’t fit properly. They’ve sat in a drawer for years.

IceStationZebra · 01/06/2026 22:54

I quite like them - I have the ones where you can change the level and I use them for gigs, in one ear if I’m on calls at work (my headset only has one earpiece) and if I am reading in the living room whilst someone else is watching tv. I don’t sleep in them. They’re comfy but I prefer the noise cancelling AirPods if somewhere is really loud.

AllyMacbealmyarse · 01/06/2026 22:54

Work well for me. They are soft enough to sleep in and are very effective in cancelling out machinery noise and conversation, though not had to worry about snoring so can’t vouch how proof they are for that.

Exactly this.

goodnightssleepbenice · 01/06/2026 22:58

I was so disappointed, absolute rubbish do nothing at all.

OnAWednesdayInACafe · 01/06/2026 23:04

I have the loop quiet ones.
I got them in desperation when on night shifts trying to sleep in the daytime while neighbour was doing noisy building work, they are great!

stockpilingallthecheese · 01/06/2026 23:07

Love mine!

Mclaren10 · 01/06/2026 23:07

I have the quiet ones...I liked them so much I got a second pair. They have been worth it compared to the foam/gel ones that don't last even if Loops are more expensive to buy. I use them in bed and at work for focusing if the office is noisy.

HoldMyWine · 01/06/2026 23:10

I have the quiet ones. There is a knack to putting them in so they fill the space in your ear completely to block the noise.

feathers7 · 01/06/2026 23:21

I really rate them. I work nights, and they are brilliant for day time sleeping. Also great for night time sleeping to block out my husbands snoring…

Same. I thought everyone had similar sized ear canals but apparently mine are too narrow for any ear plugs, wax, foam, silicone, loop. None fit.

Peakyblinder18 · 01/06/2026 23:54

Yes paid £30+ tried them about twice. Useless for me.

Gimmick... the earplugs I use for swimming do exactly the same job, and were cheaper

Girlintheframe · Yesterday 00:42

I don’t like them. I wanted them for sleep but they just didn’t block the noise out sadly. They are however comfy to wear

MayWelland · Yesterday 00:54

Realise you’ve got mixed reviews here, but I really rate mine. I use them for parenting and in noisy environments to reduce overstimulation. I find they work really well and it’s hard to describe: they seem to block out the wider environmental noise and take the edge of any whining, though you can weirdly still hear really well.

I suppose I’d describe them that way - they take the edge off - rather than as a true noise-blocker. Still, I find that incredibly useful.

Since you are asking for honesty, and in the knowledge that this is my issue, not the Loop’s fault: I find it hard to remember to put them back in their little case, and so often lose one. I’ll take them out for a second to do something, put them loose into my pocket, and then they seem to fall out. But Loop were great about discounting a second pair.

I got some after my DD told me how good they are … they don't seem to work well on me.

SoMentallyDrained · Yesterday 07:35

Such mixed reviews! Definitely seems like it's individual preference (and ear shape!) I do find the squishy silicone ones useful but they tend to fall out, so I'm tempted to give the Loops a go...or at least the amazon dupes upthread! Thanks for all of your opinions
