Anyone found pink tea and coffee canisters without a matching sugar one?

TroysMammy · 18/05/2026 20:11

I want tidy sized pink canisters for tea bags and ground coffee but I have only seen them in a set of 3 which includes sugar. We don't use sugar in drinks so the sugar canister would be redundant. I will not be buying off Temu either.

Does anyone use all 3 canisters or is one or maybe two just for show?

Because you want 2 out of 3 of them.

This place really baffles me sometimes.

Right?

I want 2 pairs of knickers, but they only come in packs of 3. What will I do? I'll have to go naked!!!!

AIBU????

Use it to collect loose change. The link? Saving for sugary treats for Christmas or the grandkids or whatever.

Why would I buy something to give it away?

Are you for real?

If you needed 4 buttons and they only sold them in packs of six, what would you do?

Sell the unwanted caddy on Ebay or something then.

Stilltame · 19/05/2026 09:48

I have bough Beautiful pink ones from tk max.they are individual purchases so you’d only need to buy 2.
dont know how to link but google Sophie Conran port merion . They come in a lovely pink and £9.99 each
other places sell them but they are more expensive

Next you’ll be telling me he goes out with odd socks and neither day is right

StationJack · 19/05/2026 11:57

The Range is probably not the best place to look.

I was really confused one day because one sock said Thursday and the other said Sunday. It was Monday.

I don't have guests who take sugar. My sugar is kept in a clip lock box in my pantry.

So you do have sugar Confused

StationJack · 19/05/2026 12:24

Why do you need canisters for your tea and coffee?

It makes me think of that scene in 'Mum' where the son's girlfriend spots the tea caddy.

TroysMammy · 19/05/2026 12:29

Just to reiterate this is Chat not AIBU.

I just don't really want them with anything written on them. Plain bubble gum pink canisters. I want to use one for tea and one for coffee which will be on display next to my bubble gum pink kettle. I just don't see why they all have to have words on them because when you lift the lid to me it's obvious what's in them. We don't take sugar in drinks, sugar is for cooking and baking in my house and sugar in a plastic container in the pantry is easier for weighing out and not by the teaspoon either.

@Stilltame I couldn't see them on the TK Maxx website, only a butter dish and that's the colour pink I'm looking for so thank you. I might have to bite the bullet and go to a local store (I hate the concept of having to rummage for things) and have a proper look.

Because I'm lazy and I want my teabags next to the kettle and below the wine rack cupboard (I don't drink wine) where I keep the mugs. My partner grinds coffee beans and stores the coffee in a canister. The instant stays in its jar.

You use teabags???
Why do you have a wine rack?

Secretseverywhere · 19/05/2026 12:52

They are selling stoneware jars in Aldi which are the right size imo for tea coffee. They are striped though pink then a stripe of textured pink bottom third cream. Only 3.49 each.

Stilltame · 19/05/2026 14:35

This is them. You can do a google image search to find them.

TFImBackIn · 19/05/2026 14:42

What about these? No labels at all. You have three here but I'm sure you could find a use for one of them. They're made by Swan and are sold in B&Q. Not sure why I can't post the link.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/05/2026 14:44

Could you buy two neutral coloured tins and spray them the colour you want, @TroysMammy?

TroysMammy · 19/05/2026 19:48

To answer some questions:-

The wine rack is built in when I had my kitchen fitted in 1993. I used to have one bottle of wine in it because I had a lazy workshy husband and could only afford a bottle of Leibfraumilch which incidentally would make him frisky and me fall asleep.

I keep my tea bags in a cream ceramic canister marked tea which I've now written tea on the lid with a sharpie because my partner puts his coffee lid, same colour canister marked coffee, on to my tea and it makes my tea taste of coffee. I keep my loose leaf tea in dinky caddies decorated with panda heads. My partner does not touch those.

I've added rough diagrams of my kitchen so you can all see where I keep my tea.

There were some in TKMaxx today.
£9.99 each. There were three on the shelves.
I'm that conscientious but I was remiss in not obtaining photographic evidence.
