Anyone found pink tea and coffee canisters without a matching sugar one?

TroysMammy · 18/05/2026 20:11

I want tidy sized pink canisters for tea bags and ground coffee but I have only seen them in a set of 3 which includes sugar. We don't use sugar in drinks so the sugar canister would be redundant. I will not be buying off Temu either.

Does anyone use all 3 canisters or is one or maybe two just for show?

Just buy a set and keep sugar for when you have guests or just don’t use it and use the other two?

NannyR · 18/05/2026 20:14

I always keep a small amount of sugar in the sugar canister just in case I have visitors that take sugar in drinks.

Just buy the set of 3 Confused

I needed extra tea caddies and found individual items on Wayfair and on Brandalley. Can’t say I saw pink, but then wasn’t looking for it, so might be worth a try.

TeenLifeMum · 18/05/2026 20:18

The third doesn’t have to have sugar in it… Jaffa cakes would fit well.

lottlecat · 18/05/2026 20:21

We don’t buy sugar but always bought a set of 3 of these things - we just don’t use the sugar one for sugar. It gets put away in a cupboard with sachets of hot chocolate/coffee in it.

RaininSummer · 18/05/2026 20:23

Can you use the sugar one for other types of tea or do you only have the regular stuff?

You could put sweets or biscuits in the Sugar one or drop it off at the charity shop.
Or use it for storing something elsewhere in the house.

BeardySchnauzer · 18/05/2026 20:39

when I was a kid our sugar one was in the baking cupboard with sugar in it

but Other options you’ve been given (charity shop, other things) work well

Bjorkdidit · 18/05/2026 20:39

Single ones are unlikely to be cheaper so just buy the set you like use the sugar one for something else.

Quinoa is mumsnet approved I believe.

I have tea caddies decorated with panda heads (another obsession) for my loose leaf tea.

Edited

I don't have guests who take sugar. My sugar is kept in a clip lock box in my pantry.

I have a diabetic partner who has a sweet tooth. My sweet treats are hidden rather well in my wardrobe 😂

Why would I buy something to give it away?

Why would I buy something to give it away?

Because you’ll get the caddies you want and it will most likely be cheaper than individual ones.

and it might give you a warm glow

icannotlivelaughloveintheseconditions · 18/05/2026 21:19

We do coffee decaf coffee and tea

Ophy83 · 18/05/2026 22:54

Pop a label over the word "sugar" and it becomes a caddy for whatever you want... nuts, rice, old batteries for recycling, new batteries, clothes pegs, dishwasher tabs, elastic bands, the sweet treats in your wardrobe... there must be something that needs a pretty home

Sasha07 · 18/05/2026 22:56

Incase you haven't, try Googling 'Pink Food Storage Jars' and other variations, instead of coffee/sugar/tea, etc. Dunelm and The Range have some pink ones, I'll see if the pics attach...

Thanks. I've seen these in the shops but the Dunelm one is to me a meh pink and the one in The Range is tiny and would hold less than 40 tea bags.

I have Dunelm's bubble gum pink microwave, kettle and toaster which I wonder why they can't have other matching accessories for sale.

I've had boiling hot glows recently as I've had massive declutters. A local cat charity has done very well from me.

Because you want 2 out of 3 of them.

This place really baffles me sometimes.

CherryBlossom321 · 19/05/2026 08:53

We don’t drink coffee, my decaf tea bags live in the one that says “coffee”. My husband wore socks on Sunday that said “Wednesday” on them 🙂
