SPF 50
Moisturising
Doesn’t leave a white film
Good for aged 40+ skin
Doesn’t cost £100000

DOES IT EXIST???
Thank you in advance for any miracle suggestions!

Not sure but you might get more replies if you put this in style & beauty

Clinique DDML but no spf, you should use a separate SPF anyway though.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 09/05/2026 09:41

Buy your spf separately. Most day creams don’t have a decent spf level in. Then you can choose any day cream you like. I go cheap and cheerful, sainsburys with cucumber and aloe is current one, or boots vit c. My SIL likes origins gin zing. Tried them all, expensive and cheap and makes zero difference.

I heard that its more effective to use a seperate spf and day cream. Dunno if this is corect?

TheChosenTwo · 09/05/2026 09:45

My go to day cream is the Kiehls ultra bland, separate spf though.

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 09/05/2026 09:47

I’ve tried every cream known to man and was liking Clinique but then found it was making my skin feel dry later in the day and now I’m loving cheapo Lacura caviar gold at the moment. It goes on lovely, is really moisturising and keeps my skin hydrated. Not sure about the spf though.

Moveyourbleedingarse · 09/05/2026 09:48

Cerave 50spf works for me.
Rubs in really well. I use the 30spf in the winter.

Obviously if I'm sunbathing I put actual suncream on. This is for daily use.

I used to love the sunsense daily but hard to find.

I did also try cetaphil but it was too thick.

cluecu · 09/05/2026 10:08

I got a No7 miniature Future Renew cream in an advent calendar, which has SPF in it. I really like it and am considering buying full size when I've used it up 😀

cluecu · 09/05/2026 10:08

Although just looked and it's dearer than I thought it would be so maybe not!

It is correct. You should moisturise first and then put on spf. The spf in a moisturiser isn’t good enough.

OrangeMoonsAreCool · 09/05/2026 10:11

Some mentions of Cerave with factor 50 - will check it out!
Separate sun protection is what I’ve been doing but I’m lazy…

It takes seconds to put spf over moisturiser!

You need spf 50 in winter too. Even when it rains.

I don't really care 😂 I'm 48 and happy with my wrinkles..

If I was 20 then maybe it would make a difference.

I only use it at all because I've spent 16yrs on mumsnet listening to people talk about the importance of spf!!

I'm sure it does but it never gets done, so surely a day cream with spf is better than nothing?

I got this in home bargains last week and it's lovely. They had the serum too

This looks amazing!

Well…not really. Or not for me. Moisturiser - then wait for that to sink in. Then the spf. Then makeup (on working days) once the spf has sunk in.
A one-does-all cream would be quicker, no question.

Nivea SUN UV Face Anti-Age Q10 Cream SPF 50 (50ml) is good and lots of people use it instead of moisturiser under foundation.

@BranleuseI recognise your name - have you been around MN from the beginning, perchance? The days of Riven and Pagwatch etc?
