And are they a son or a daughter?

So I really struggle with my 18 year old, we don’t generally have a great relationship, I have posted many times over the years on here .

however , she went abroad for a month on uni placement, and I couldn’t get shot of her 🤣 she FaceTimed every day , several messages, pictures of sights and food.

she’s been back two weeks and in the last 24hours I have had two grunts, a swear word and a bye as she went to work 🤪

I don’t think there is a set amount that’s right - so long as they know you’re there if needed let them crack on with it. Indeed I have found dd much more forthcoming if I wait for her to come to me- rather then talk to her 🤷‍♂️

You missed the never (boy) option!

This!

I have two boys. One would communicate in some way most days. The other has just finished uni and I’m not sure he has proactively called me even once! Maybe on my birthday. He says he’s just unsociable. He does always respond to texts and answers the phone when I call him though.

@Newnammmme i think that shows when she needs support you’re the first person she turns to. Which is something. My friends say my Dd is the same, comes running at any hint of a crisis.
