🇩🇪 Germany is reportedly considering purchasing Ukrainian long-range missiles Flamingo and BARS, according to Politico, after the United States declined to deploy Tomahawk systems.
Berlin is said to be exploring options to strengthen its long-range strike capabilities and deter Russia, including both Ukrainian and Israeli systems.
The Ukrainian Flamingo missile is reported to have a range of up to 3,000 km and carry a warhead of about one ton. Its estimated cost is around $500,000, significantly lower than comparable systems such as the Tomahawk.
According to earlier reporting, Germany’s Diehl Defence is already in talks on possible joint production of the system in Germany.
❗️ In temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian forces have reportedly increased patrols along the coastline amid concerns about a possible Ukrainian landing operation.
According to the ATESh movement, the number of coastal patrols and BARS observation posts has increased significantly across the peninsula. Officially, the measures are attributed to the growing frequency of Ukrainian drone strikes and the need to protect air defense positions.
However, ATESh claims that many Russian servicemen believe the real reason is fear of a potential Ukrainian amphibious operation.
❗️Europe’s belief that it should negotiate with Russia from a position of strength is “the biggest mistake,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
