Why are we not being encouraged to take in Iranian refugees?

Pretty much as soon as the Ukraine war started we were encouraged by the government to take Ukrainian refugees into our homes. Why has this not been mentioned in regard to the war on Iran?

They have been able to gain extensions to their visas. It is currently unclear whether the hosting payments will continue from the end of the year in situations where refugees have been here since the beginning.

It is also however true that many go back and forth to and from Ukraine. Ukraine is a very big country though. The distance from one side of the country to the other at its furthest points is roughly the same as the distance from the UK to Ukraine..

I'm not arguing, just pointing out that the person who said millions of homes have spare rooms wasn't incorrect there are plenty of people with spare rooms, which you seemed to think was an untruth. I do plenty of things in my life, feel free to ponder about my life

What act of "legitimate resistance" are you referring to exactly?
