What would you like for Mothers Day?

As the title suggests. What would you like this year?
I have 3 young children so it is down to DH to organise.

I’d be happy with a bottle of fizz, some mini eggs and homemade cards (I know nursery and school do this).

Extra’s welcome…a lie in, coffee waiting for when I wake and to do absolutely nothing all day.

To spend the day in bed reading, drinking tea and eating pastries. And someone hoovering up the crumbs.

I want a ceramic egg chicken 😂

To have my three (adult) children with me. This year I'll only have one, who is local. I suffer from mothers day, birthday & Easter in quick succession.

Some Spring bulbs in a pretty container for indoors that I can plant in the garden once they’ve finished flowering.

This sounds like the perfect day

Some dahlia and other plants/bulbs for summer flowers.

Flowers, coffee, a new book (just one, not all three!)

I'd also like a little pendant in a chain thats small enough for every day wear. My main necklace is a bit chunky for work and casual wear.

Our kitchen always looks so much brighter with a bunch of flowers in the window. I usually buy my own throughout the year, but have mentioned it to both dcs and dh this year. Elder dc will keep telling dh when they go to the shop "mum wants daffodils" so he shouldn't forget 🤞

My kids to climb in bed with me and give me some pictures or homemade cards.

Last year DD wrote out a menu and had me tick my choices and then gave it to DH to bring me in bed.

That’s all I want.

My adult children who still live at home, to be here but they’re both working. That’s fine though because I’m proud of them.
After that, I’d like a day of not having to do anything but no doubt I’ll still be doing washing and boring stuff! Hey ho!

Dd1 has promised to make American pancakes then we’ll all sit on my bed eating them, nice family dog walk, dc cooking dinner. Perfect 🥰

I’d quite like to see adult dds and the Gdcs, but not if it’s going to interfere with the trillion activities/parties the Gdcs seem to have every weekend, and I don’t want any of them having to drive the 60 miles to see me.
I don’t want them spending a lot of money, either, though I wouldn’t say no to a bunch of tulips or daffs, and a box of Maltesers. 😋

Although I’m off to Google ceramic egg chicken… maybe I want one of those too

I’d like breakfast in bed and the chance to stay in bed all morning watching a film!

I would like some new stone planters a cup of coffee and a hug from my three.... and to not cook for the day.

Eldest DC might be here, so I’ll be happy going for a long walk with DH and DC and then cooking a big roast dinner (I like cooking a roast).

My adult son is coming home for the weekend to see me. Thst is literally the best present.
I love a card with a heartfelt message though. Maybe some flowers. Not chocolate because I'm dieting.

To have a lie in. But a proper lie in where DH leaves the house with the kids very early so I don’t hear the winging/moaning and trashing of the house downstairs. Not likely though 😂

I’ve asked my adult DCs for a vinyl album that I’ve had my eye on.

I’d love to see DS but he always works on a Sunday and is two hours away. DD will be here though and she’s going to cook. Plus she’s just back from living/working abroad for a year so just having her here is a treat 🥰

Me too. My 2 adult children live close by, but I have Mother's Easter, my birthday, my husband's birthday, and then our wedding anniversary.

I’m happy with a nice card and a bunch of flowers (don’t even have to be expensive ones, I’m happy with cheap supermarket ones). Preferably planned and bought in advance and not a “I’m just going to the shops mum I’ll be back in 5 minutes” afterthought.

I would prefer no chocolates, I’m really not a chocolate person and I got fed up with every celebration ending up in me being given yet more chocolates. The family are a bit better with that now but I still have some in the kitchen from 2024.

A peaceful lie in with a coffee in bed, a nice card which they wont be able to wait til Sunday to show me, and a day with family. And maybe a cream tea by post if DP gets the hint from the reel I sent him the other day! That one isn't really a big deal though as we live in Devon so easy to get all the real stuff on our doorstep!

I’d love some flowers,
chocolates and being taken out for lunch somewhere a bit different and lovely! … I’d love a spa trip the next day when the kids are at school and DH at work too please 🤣🥂🎉
