Last meal/death row meal etc. Basically all your favourite things! I love threads like these and haven't seen one in a while.

Mine would be (presuming a neverending appetite, I'd probably have to space it out over the day)

Starter: Massive seafood platter (minus oysters and squid) including smoked salmon, large prawns cooked in garlic butter, smaller cooked prawns, lobster, crab and a bowl of moules marinere. Served with loads of crusty white bread, seafood cocktail sauce and tons of garlic aoili.

Main: The steak baguette I had in Toronto that I've never stopped thinking about. Medium rare, on a crusty white baguette with loads of fried onions and melted cheese. Served with a thick cut chips drowned in vinegar, creamy coleslaw and garlic mushrooms. A side of my mums mashed potato.

Dessert- I can't decide between sticky toffee pudding or a cheese board.

Washed down with a diet coke in a glass bottle and gallons of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

I love this and I’ve been considering it for a while, mine would have to take place in two locations….

Starter in Portugal: garlic prawns with salad and crusty bread & butter, served with a nicely chilled Vinho Verde.

Main UK: Beef Stroganoff and rice with green beans.

Dessert UK: my Mum’s Apple Crumble!

TomatoSandwiches · 11/02/2026 23:09

A pack of cigarettes, Irish coffee and a scoop of mint ice cream, not mint choc chip, just mint.

maudelovesharold · 11/02/2026 23:20

If I knew it was going to be my last meal, I’d probably feel too sick to eat anything. If I’m upset or anxious, I completely lose my appetite! I think I’d just have all my favourite drinks - Bailey’s, Advocaat, cherry brandy liqueur…any liqueur, really. Maybe some nibbles to go with them, as I might have relaxed and got a bit of an appetite back after the first couple - peanuts, crisps, cheese and crackers, nothing too heavy…

I’d love to know where in Toronto you had the sandwich! 🇨🇦

Mine would be steamed lobster, Malpeq oysters (at least a few dozen), asparagus, a steak, baked potato with sour cream and butter and some crispy Brussels sprouts. Mmmmmm.

YelramBob · 11/02/2026 23:36

I'd just have cheese 🧀
Mature cheddar
Stilton
Lancashire
Wendlesdale (sp)
Gorgonzola
Feta
Halloumi
Mexicana
Brie
Camembert

All on crackers and oatcakes with Kerrygold butter

Indianajet · 11/02/2026 23:37

Just whisky!

Arlanymor · 11/02/2026 23:39

A bottle of really bloody nice Châteauneuf-du-Pape and a melted camembert with crusty bread to dip into it. (And a naughty wedge of Edam on the side, because I am not perfect and do not claim to be).

Crikeyalmighty · 11/02/2026 23:40

A really nice bruschetta on really garlicy toasted bread

2 big pieces of halibut in a champagne and prawn sauce with green beans and potato croquettes

a really good fresh strawberry’s and thick cream

CrackInTheGlass · 11/02/2026 23:45

Pineapple pizza and extra cheese with red salt cheesy chips. Bottle of vodka and let’s go Grin

puppyparent · 11/02/2026 23:49

my selection is season-dependent

winter: raclette, potatoes, charcuterie, gherkins, pickled onions, champagne. Dessert: crème brûlée, espresso, 2-3 cigarettes

summer: full spread of Greek mezze including grilled meats, salads, dips, calamari, dolmades, cold beer x 4

HowAmIGoingToBeAnOptimistAboutThis · 12/02/2026 00:24

Yeah, my name probably suits this thread!

Starter: proper 1970s prawn cocktail with brandy in the marie rose sauce.
Main: medium rare roast beef with beef dripping roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, horseradish sauce, cabbage and cauliflower cheese.
Pud: I'd probably be too full but if not then banoffee pie.

All washed down with a bottle of chilled Mirabeau rose.

Actually, sod this being my last meal, can I have this on Sunday please?

GrooveArmada · 12/02/2026 00:33

If breakfast, bacon & egg bagel with butter, 💯. Cup of tea.

If lunch/dinner, this would be harder. I would probably go for a cheese & charcuterie board for one, or seafood as a starter. Then it would need to be ox tagliatelle, I think. Basque cheesecake for desserts. Espresso, aperol spritz, plus some delightful bubbly.

patooties · 12/02/2026 00:41

I’d have roast lamb and all the trimmings with mint sauce, cauliflower cheese and a roasted onion.

this pudding my mum makes with sponge fingers, tinned pears and tinned mandarin oranges, fresh raspberries- red jello and cream.

then a mother fucker of a cheeseboard all washed down with a bottle of Saint Emillion

OSTMusTisNT · 12/02/2026 01:20

Drink - Champagne (bottle of)

Starter - French Onion Soup with a huge cheesy crouton, made from scratch not out a tin!

Main - Medium flame grilled fillet steak with proper homemade deep fat fryer chips, medley of steamed veg and a huge portion of Stilton sauce in a separate side dish for dipping.

Dessert Drink - Proper peach iced tea, loads of ice.

Dessert - (Assuming i have had my fill of cheese in the main) A huge fresh fruit platter, all proper sun ripened with a passionfruit drizzle over everything.

Afters - Huge pot of freshly made strong black coffee with some Scottish Tablet for nibbling. Edit to add - and a packet of fags, relive my youthful 😆

Eddiestrangerthings · 12/02/2026 01:29

spaghetti bolognaise and hot choc / cuppa tea

If I’m being honest I could no more eat than fly to the moon if I was about to die sorry OP

NailsHairNipsHeels · 12/02/2026 03:51

Starter: either a huge prawn cocktail or a seafood boil
main: beef stew with kidney, mashed potatoes and broccoli and puff pastry. But not a steak and kidney pie, two very different things 😂
pudding: my mums trifle
second pudding: cheeseboard with all the chutneys and extra bits

I wish I could tell you! It was 2010, I went and had it in some non-descript cafe, but it was so amazing, I still think of it all these years later! 😂.

I love reading everyone else's choices. In reality, I too probably wouldn't have an appetite but I still like thinking of it anyway!

@Bellaunion oh well, I will just have to continue my own quest for the perfect steak sandwich!

KitTea3 · 12/02/2026 22:06

Egg and chips

It's forever been my go to comfort meal and reminds me of my grandparents

xOlive · 12/02/2026 22:12

A prawn cocktail with a whole jar of seafood sauce.
My Mum’s shepherd’s pie.
Sticky toffee pudding and custard.
A fuck tonne of coffee.
And cherry Tango.
And water that has been left in a cold room but not the fridge.

Princessofpumpkins · 12/02/2026 22:17

French martini to begin. Then Rack of lamb chops off the barbecue (fat crisped up) with a Marfona jacket potato with salted French butter, side of nutty lightly steamed sprouts. Homemade mint sauce. To finish platter of dark purple firm king cherries, super fresh and juicy green seedless grapes with a Brie de meaux. Glass of well chilled Perrier Jouet. Then unlimited Americano coffee with hot milk (coffee blend to be the one used in Claridges) with a selection of excellent chocolates (mainly Turkish delight, fudge, caramel and coconut)

TheGoldenApplesOfTheSun · 12/02/2026 22:49

To start with, breaded cheese bites with melting garlicky centres and some slow cooked onion relish to dip them in. Really fresh sushi too - salmon nigri.

Then the main: ciabatta bread cut in half, half filled with brie and cranberry with rocket, the other half ploughman's with a really sharp cheddar and good pickles. Both toastied firmly until the cheese is oozing out the sides and making lovely little crispy pieces on the bread. Served with a balsamic dressed salad on the side with very crisp lettuce and tiny very sweet ripe tomatoes, the kind my Dad used to grow in our garden. Cheesecake for dessert.

In reality I am lactose intolerant and would be very uncomfortable after that much cheese! But if they are about to kill me, fuck it, throw caution to the wind!

Kickinthenostalgia · 12/02/2026 22:54

Mine would be.. nandos chicken wings to start
steak (medium) , jacket potato, cheese, and a cooked mushroom, pepper and onion salad sort of thing.
pudding would probs be chocolate fudge cake with ice cream machine ice cream 🙃 a 2l bottle of full fat Coke

stressedandamess · 12/02/2026 23:13

Starter - oxtail, white rice, plantain, avocado with potato salad.
Drink - Guinness Punch
Dessert - Yeo Valley Mint choc chip ice cream (the whole tub)
