To think Brooklyn Beckham fallout is just a precursor for all the kids growing up as influencer/celebs on social media?

There's soon going to be 100s of kids aging out of social media "stardom"... Where their lives have been plastered all over social media for anyone to see...

Kids either the actual focus,or on the periphery as "props" - a lot of them not seeing a penny for their work.

Give it ten years and the damage fine will be huge and hopefully there'll be some sort of protection.

I've seen examples where the woman lives in a massive beautiful house, the kids appear to be homeschooled, and she takes videos of the girls having baths (back to camera...but still 😬)
Or that little boy who dances at a middling level but the mother has taken him out of school and parades him around (Brody?) or the boy that reviewed toys (Ryan's world) ... All sorts of kids being made to work at the cost of their privacy.

It's just all a disaster in the making.

Are the Sacconjollys the ones who made their son transition to a girl at like age 5?

Another one is the Austin’s who’s whole schtick is living in a tiny house and continuing to have numerous children while posting about how dirty the kids are making the house and they can’t be bothered to clean it. I can only imagine being in high school and a classmate coming across THAT bully ammunition gold

@Bobbieiris

Apparently they owe about about £150k according to HMRC.

See link below because this was when it all seemed to go very wrong, the father was allegedly talking to young girls and grooming fans. One 16 year old girl put her account online, providing text messages between her and the Ingham father.

After this, they took their kids out of school, started ‘travelling’, they only actually spend a couple of months of the year in Dubai despite saying they ‘live’ there, they spend a couple of months in the UK and the rest of the time stuck in a van travelling aka running. Very little education, very few friends, friends seem to be vulnerable fans, mum has a shopping addiction, dad seems to just need to run away from what has happened and has dragged the kids along, older girls spend their time dreaming of boys from soft porn books, getting ready applying lots of makeup for hours with nowhere to go, just to film TikTok’s. They seem to be holding their oldest child back who seems to have regressed to behaving like a 12 year old at almost 21. They constantly tell their kids how lucky they are in an obvious attempt to brainwash them but the reality is the kids have been isolated from any sort of normal life. The dad is a major conspiracy theorist re Covid, healthcare, talks about people being sheep and the matrix a lot.

Tattle can be a shithole but they really do have these parents spot on. It’s very sad for the kids.

This reminded me of a raw vegan influencer from a few years ago her son was only allowed to eat raw fruit and veg and the poor boy looked so ill. People kept reporting them to social services (think they lived in the Netherlands) so she started to constantly move countries

I don’t know that one. They all seem to do the same sort of thing though, homeschool, travel, anything to avoid any sort of accountability. It’s happening in plain sight and no one seems to be helping these children. It seems to be if they’re making money or appearing to, they’re untouchable. But kids lives are being wrecked. The coming years will be very interesting because there is no way a lot of these kids are going to be ok.

This should be a warning for all parents not just celebs. Think twice before you post that video of your child sat on the potty taking their first wee, or their tantrum at the park because they want an ice cream etc.

Imagine if every single thing that happened in our lives was documented for the world to see and as you grew you had school friends, work colleagues or even absolute strangers saying “I remember seeing when you do XYZ when you were X age.” Or “I’ve seen that video of you looking like this or doing that.”

Children don’t belong on social media and deserve privacy. Even having private account doesn’t stop your limited followers screenshotting or sharing your images and they could end up literally anywhere.

Yes. I shamefully didn't think this one through very well - I always posted happy, smiling or cute and funny pics. Like we all do. About 8 months ago my now 9 year old was looking at my phone, saw my Facebook, and asked me why there are pictures of him on the Internet. He was quite indignant about it all, rightly so. I think they had been having lessons on Internet safety at school.

I'd never really thought about it before, and only friends and family can see those pics, but still I never asked him! It's not right and it's not necessary.

My Facebook these days is boring - mainly subsets etc, and pics get shared privately

I totally agree, I don’t think it’s right in anyway. There’s an ‘influencer’ online whose young family do videos with her, mostly her 10 year old daughter and it makes me cringe. The girl is being exploited online to perform dances and silly scenes, what does she think and how will she really grow up? Believing the world loves her, believing life is easy you just makes videos for money. None of it sits right

They call it World Schooling. Look we don’t need a job because we can post photos and videos of our young children every day and that funds our lifestyle. Haven’t these people heard of safeguarding? They think their kids are lucky because they get to be at home with them 24/7 instead of going to work and they get all these free holidays, days out, clothes, toys… But to give up your privacy in return, it’s too high a price to pay. There are no amount of trips to Disney and the Maldives that can compensate. Their parents don’t know how it feels as we didn’t grow up with this life. Strangers must come up to them when they’re out and about or look at them like they know them and although that’s their ‘normal’ how disconcerting.

Once the smartphones for children regulations are in place, this should be the next thing for the government to look at. Why is it legal to post images of children (in nappies, in swimwear, in uniform) on social media?

I feel sad for these kids who are constantly travelling around the world. No base, nowhere to call home... It must be horrible

And the ones where 6 kids are crammed into a motorhome.

@ASeatNextToMe what a way to live! Why don’t they just pay their taxes and get jobs so they can settle down?! I really don’t understand this lifestyle
