Wow Brooklyn Beckham's statement doesn't hold back!

Has anyone seen his recent statement on Instagram? I actually feel very sorry for him.

“But the one time my wife asked for my mum’s support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused.”

Yes that particular sentence did make me laugh. It's just so "LA"!

tbh I'll admit I've slated Brooklyn a bit over the years for his laughable jumps from career to career without any apparent effort or skill, but am wondering now if that was partly foisted by "brand beckham" and perhaps if it was up to him he would have just carried on and finished his uni degree and worked his way up as an apprentice to a photographer/doing small shoots rather than going straight into publishing his first (terrible) book of elephantile shadows etc. After all, being a student doesn't make the headlines, does it?

Brooklyn’s statement is jaw dropping in its level of detail, especially the details about the first dance.

But I am not surprised.

In recent times, there have been more and more photos of Harper wearing VB’s satin slip dresses. Including one that had a cut out area just below her breasts. Not appropriate at 13/14 but oh well, it’s Mummy’s dresses they are selling.

My mum was a lifestyle journalist in the 90s, and she shamelessly wrote about us endlessly. Lots of it with saccharine embellishment that was very embarrassing even as a ten year old.

I didn't actually have a formal photographer at my wedding, just a friend taking casual snaps, because I hated posing for pictures that much.

And my mum wasn't even a household name! I can't feel anything but sorry for Brooklyn, he was in a right mess growing up.

He wasn't exactly a great asset to 'brand Beckham', if anything if they tried to keep him a part of it it was like they were trying to do him a favour, any time he ever did anything by himself the vast majority of commenters were saying he was a bit simple and things like that and ridiculing him for thinking he was a chef when he cooked a sausage sandwich or a photographer when he took a photo.

I remember thinking it was a massive red flag that the Peltzes kept referring to them as 'Mrs Peltz and Brooklyn' and obviously avoided using Beckham, but now it seems like it was due to something like this.

I imagine his post was definitely legally checked and he has the receipts to back up
what he can.

Brooklyn much like harry was raised by parents (till Diana died) who care more about how they are perceived rather than parenting to their best and protecting their children.

I wonder what has prompted him to release this statement? Makes me think there’s more to come? Poor kid. Imagine growing up in a spotlight not of your own choosing. Must have been grim for him. Cringing at the thought of that dance. Yikes!

They prioritised the Grandmothers by looks of it and treated both sets of parents equally…

Genuine question. I’ve heard over and over that they sold their childhoods for the brand. I don’t read the daily mail or hello or whatever, so I really don’t know how they’ve sold their kids. Is it stories about them in those types of publications, or photos of them on holiday on Instagram? I could be sitting next to them in the pub and not know who they were.

Brand Beckham may be fake, but Brooklyn Beckham still cashed in on it. If he genuinely wanted authenticity he could have walked away at any point in adulthood and earned his own money and reject financial help from the ‘Beckham Brand’; instead he waited until he secured someone else to bankroll his lifestyle to yap about independence and turn on his family.

frankly, there’s children dying in war stricken countries and we’ve got a baby millionaire crying because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Winds me up.

I actually feel very sorry for him. It’s never the natural thing for a child to cut a parent off. There’s always something or some history behind it. This makes alot of sense too

No because another person’s pain is not my entertainment.

People found my (alcoholic) parent acting up in public hilarious, because it wasn’t their pain and misfortune. To me it was very hurtful.
