Wow Brooklyn Beckham's statement doesn't hold back!

Has anyone seen his recent statement on Instagram? I actually feel very sorry for him.

Two sides and everything but I am sure he didn't do badly growing up in a life of luxury.

Good for him. Victoria was always my least favourite Spice Girl and this confirms what I've always felt about her. The Beckhams think that they're something super special. They're not. He's a talented footballer but that's as far as it goes. I always believed Rebecca Loos and I bet that there is far, far more that we don't even know a fraction of. I've heard rumours over the years that he has loads and loads of children by different women, and I would have no difficulty whatsoever believing it. And Victoria is a stuck up madam with delusions of grandeur. Always has been.

They could always get jobs, you know like the rest of us mere mortals have to. They don't have to post on tiktok or insta. The idea thta they do just because of who their parents are is laughable. There are loads of celeb kids who do regular jobs. And Brooklyn and Nicola could have done that while still living a lifestyle far beyond the reach of almost all of us. They are choosing the easy option of posting their life online - because they have no talent and no work ethic.

I disagree. He never consented to being in the spotlight from birth. His parents did their kids a great disservice using them as media props. Everyone has known what they look like since birth and every milestone beyond. It wasn’t the right thing to do. Brooklyn has always looked rather anxious now I think about it. And he’s been called nasty names just for existing. Good luck to him in the future.

Yes, they have a reputation for being difficult. Nicola has had stories out about being…a handful and not particularly nice that predate her involvement with the Beckhams. It seems like Brooklyn has gone from one dysfunctional family to another. But maybe Nicola has changed since then?

Wow. As a fellow child who had no choice but to go NC, and constantly worries about how petty and ungrateful it looks to the outside world (despite my parents addictions and relentless high level abuse which was very much hidden from the public eye), I feel for him. He didn’t ask to be born a Beckham, and it’s easy to say he should ‘get a normal job and live a quiet life’ when from the minute he was born all he has known is fame, PR, pressure and judgement.

I hope the family can somehow reconnect and heal in a way mine hasn’t (yet - I still hope).

You’re not. Poor little rich boy who’s never done a day’s work in his life biting the hands that fed him very handsomely all his life. I expect he and Harry get on very well, they’re both cut from the same cloth.

The stories about her are from when she was a child. I'm not saying she's a saint, but I never saw her as the problem in this situation.

I can’t help but wonder, while he says that they planted stories about him, which I’m sure is probably true, presumably his side did as well, otherwise we wouldn’t already have heard all of the rumours that he’s confirmed.

It reminds me of the Harry and Megan Oprah interview, where I felt sorry for them when I first heard it, and then started to think that it’s more than likely six of one and half a dozen of the other.

It’s not all that unusual for women to be very enmeshed with their adult sons.

There are plenty of things here that are on my list of red flags to run from if I were ever to remarry - any sort of mention from the mother of the son being a replacement spouse, insistence their children’s partners are controlling (ie the son doesn’t pander to them all the time anymore), inappropriateness in a way that feels romantic and weird boundaries (like the wedding dance here), trying to set their son up with other women while they’re in a serious relationship. It’s a script I know too well. I am happy for him that he’s got out of that.

Fair play to him. Must have been difficult to issue that statement but to me it does read authentically…warts and all and not polished… plus even if there’s two sides, hearing in the press the opposite of what he says happened must have been hard, like that it was his wife who let VB down over the dress or that he and his DW didn’t want to show up for his Dad’s 50th etc…

VB does come across as controlling jeez oh even down to never smiling or letting a chocolate cross her lips and eating the same bland dinner night after night so can only imagine how that would go down behind closed doors.

The Beckhams will respond same way they always do… more SM gushing pictures etc. It’s telling BBs grandparents on both sides supporting him and still in contact.
