Who's your rock/indie band crush?

I've read threads on here about celebrity crushes and they're always the same, usually Harry Styles, Chris Hemsworth and the like. All of mine over the years, since I was like 10, have been a lot less well-known/obscure- nearly always members of rock or indie bands. Mine is currently another band member, band are from the NW. Who are yours? ☺️

I used to love Phil Anselmo from Pantera. Also had a thing for Jared Leto until I read about all the rumours about his creep vibes with young girls

Phil Anselmo in the early 90s… 😅

Ah no, he has weird turkey teeth now. 20 years ago, yes.

He does, such a shame!

God yes 😍 I just love his voice too. That scream gives me goosebumps in a good way 😊

@Puppylucky I’ll take your word for it. I’m setting a friend soon who was bass player in a band that supported The Stranglers at those 1977/78 Nashville gigs, I’ll try to find out more.

Matt Bellamy and. Christ Wolstenholme from Muse, Jarvis, have always liked him!

Any attraction I had for Chris vanished when he did the dirty on Kelly. Appalling behaviour.

I'm a big fan of Jim from Biffy Clyro, personally.

Gruff Rhys from the Super Furry Animals (I mean, I took my user name from one of his solo songs). I’ve always thought he was handsome but there’s also just something about his accent…

Kelly Jones, Stereophonics

Absolutely!!

Platypusdiver · 02/08/2026 21:06

Jarvis Cocker from Pulp. Also Kurt Cobain was very good looking (but not sexy because of the obvious, even then, mental health problems).

Calling · 02/08/2026 21:08

Maxi Strange - a singer on YouTube, who is very good looking, sings well and composes his own songs. A star of the future.

weebarra · 02/08/2026 21:11

Kelly Jones and Mark Gardner from Ride, in the 90’s

meikyo · 02/08/2026 21:12

Mine is more of a cult band and have covered multiple genres in their career, but I have a real soft spot for Russell Mael of Sparks. Gorgeous in the 80s and 90s and still looking good today!

If I had to pick a current rock band crush it would probably be Brandon Flowers. But nobody could ever take the place of Michael Hutchence circa 1985-1992

Mike drop.
You nailed it with both.
(sigh)

YouCanLetItGo · 03/08/2026 10:01

Brandon Boyd from Incubus

Daisychainsandglitter · 03/08/2026 17:39

Kurt Cobain, Jarvis Cocker and Brian Molko. Also have a soft spot for Billy Joe Armstrong although not classically good looking I really like him.

It was always Bert McCracken from my favourite band. In person meets have kinda tampered that sadly.

Oh dear, never meet your heroes? I recently saw an old episode of the Osbournes with him in it and he looked so young.

Plump82 · 03/08/2026 21:11

Chris Cornell - Audioslave (RIP) and James Hetfield - Metallica!!

As a teen Axl Rose but he's not quite to my taste now. Recently found out my very first boyfriend (we were 15) is now the lead guitarist of a glam rock band that is rather big/known in my home country, he looks quite hot in all that eyeliner, tattoos and tight leather 😳 does that count a a crush?

Who was that?
