What do you do with unopened toiletries you don’t want?

Hi all
I have ended up with about a years worth of various toiletries but they are not brands that I normally use. I feel bad about wasting them so I am wondering what other people do in situations like this

Do you just use them anyway, give them away or have another solution? I would love to hear your tips

Local women’s refuge centre.

I take mine into work and leave them in the ladies loo for my colleagues to take.

I've done that before now. They disappeared quickly.

I once gave a few new but unworn t-shirts to one of the cleaners at work. There was nothing wrong with them but they were thin and clingy and didn't suit me.
She was so grateful, and bought me some biscuits to say thank you, which I really didn't expect and I was really touched.

Offer them if you think someone will use them.

You can also try local nursing homes and elderly care wards at your hospital. Alot old people dont have anyone visiting to bring them nice toiletries.

Take them to your local food bank. I once got a load of hand washes I was allergic to there was a local village hall / scouts hut with a toilet and I offered them there - was very appreciated.

With opened ones, offer on Freecycle marking them as part-used. Pretty gross if they're something like mascara but some things should be ok.

Things that are in tamper-proof containers that are barely used e.g, scent, handwashn should be fine for the charity shop.

Food/hygiene bank

Before that I usually pop them in the cupboard of our guest room en suite for guests to use, if not they get taken to Tesco to put in the food bank trolley

We have a local pass it on site on fb and there are very often unopened cosmetics etc on there.
