Always sheepskin slippers or sheepskin boots which are house use only. I have reynauds and get very cold feet.

Op your very neat and dainty slippers do remind me of my MIL who passed 5 years ago in her 80s. But that's not a bad thing - the slippers I mean.

Moshulu here too, so warm and comfy. I have crocs but have to limit how much I wear them because they set off my plantar fasciitis again. I live in Birkenstock clogs (shearling and plain) outside the house in autumn/winter/spring and get so many compliments on them, often from people much younger than me and they are the best for someone like me who needs arch support. The moshulus are flat inside but short spells around the house are fine, in lockdown when I wasa wearing them a lto more I had to put arch support insoles in.

Furry crocs here too. Once a lovely, cheerful baby blue, now just grubby and battered and the fur is all flat. Now I'm thinking about it maybe I should ask for a new pair for Christmas.

But I'll put some trainers on when I leave the house.

I like your slippers! I've got a slip on pair with fake fur around the top. My DS laughs at them because they make my feet look really small. I care not.

The years I skipped around even at work in heels. Since badly spraining my ankle this is no longer and I'm fully embracing comfortable footwear!

Ancient Moshulu felt slippers. Have just bought some sheepskin slippers with a thick lining as my feet get really cold WFH and I’ve already had my first chilblains 🥶 Keeping the Moshulus for putting the bins out.

If my husband ever questions my draconian household ban on all slippers, I’m going to show him the OP’s photo. 😂

Real sheepskin mules, they have been my staple slipper in the winter for years and years since I bought some Ugg ones. I only bought the Ugg ones a couple of times as they are ridiculously expensive and the soles are shite and very slippy.

I now buy unbranded ones with thick soles, you can’t beat a real sheepskin slipper.

I'm between slippers at the moment because I can't decide whether to go for:
Fur lined crocs
Fur lined Birkenstock clogs
Or to stick with the thick Nordic socks I wear under boots for dog walking.

But to answer the OP question. I like your slippers and I'd wear them. I'm 66 but slippers are just.....slippers, right? 😎

Grey socks. I own fleece boot slippers but they’re more for popping to the car or the bin.

Another Moshulu bootie fan, complete with arch supports! These are the old ones that I keep at DDs (I stay over one night a week). The current ones at home are getting tired but there’s a new pair waiting in the wardrobe. I’ll probably shuffle them all along in the new year 😄

I wear the same OP - Moshulu slippers are the best.

Mine are my 3rd or 4th pair pf Moshulus over about 20 years, I just can’t imagine buying any others now. I have a mule felt pair for summer, the bootees have only just come out of storage for winter.

They say that loose or backless slippers are one of the main causes of elderly people "having a fall" at home, especially in conjunction with those extremely perilous household things: stairs.

I'm not old enough to worry about this for myself yet, and I don't care if my footwear is granny-like. My ideal indoor footwear is: Ugg boots, fur-lined Birkenstocks (with enclosed heel), Converse sliders like the ones Meghan Markle is wearing in the photo of her as a teenager outside Buckingham Palace (found on Vinted), or trainers. And I wear all these without socks.

I’m wearing my favourite slippers, I think I got them from Pavers.

Barefoot here, I never wear socks or anything on my feet at home although I do complain about cold feet all the time.
In unmumsnetty fashion I do have a tattoo on each foot though.

Crocs! I'm wearing a bright orange pair at the moment (post run) adorned with jibbitz specially chosen by DS13. They're great for post workout sore legs and feet and for taking the bins out. Also much more forgiving and durable so no need to replace frequently.

Bare foot briefly. I'm in my early sixties but oddly my feet are the one bit of me that hasn't aged. The rest is overweight, wrinkly and saggy, but my feet have barely changed for over 40 years.

Had to unexpectedly take teenagers to school due to road closures, accidents, bus cancellations etc. So am now killing time in town to let the rush hour pass so I can get home again. Rushed out with nothing bar my phone and car keys so am having coffee and a brownie in a coffee shop.

To all those who never wear slippers, do you just have the heating on loads?

2 white socks that dont match and my 1yo has hung his shoe on my big toe. I did have slippers on, one is hanging off the Christmas tree. DS2 is wearing the other.

Maribou trimmed mules of course, to go with my satin, Maribou trimmed negligee. Just the thing when opening the door to the milkman.

I cannot bear padding about with bare feet, or even just socks. Gives me the nerve! So I wear flip flops in the summer and crocs with socks in the winter.
