In one of the bins.

OP posts:

Under the car, in front of the rear tyre. Guess how that one ended.

MrsSkylerWhite · 21/11/2025 23:06

At a house several streets away that reads nothing like ours.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 21/11/2025 23:08

Three houses away, next to their bin.
He did take a helpful photo though, so we managed to find it.
🤣

AlexaStopAlexaNo · 21/11/2025 23:12

Linda the dog receptionist has to be the winner so far! 😂😂

LovesLabradors · 21/11/2025 23:46

Love "Linda" the neighbour's dog 😂
One parcel was thrown over the side wall of our back garden - wall is about 6ft high on the delivery man's side, but the drop is more like 10ft on our side, because we're on a hill. Luckily wasn't anything breakable..

sidebirds · 22/11/2025 00:03

on the balcony of my flat. first line of address was 'Balcony Flat'. flat was at the front of the building, first floor, the only floor with a balcony & directly above front door but the building was part of an 18th century terrace in Bristol, very tall ceilings. balcony was at least the equivalent of 2nd floor in most buildings. took serious skill to land the parcel there. was found 2 weeks later as it was winter so balcony barely used, but unscathed 😮‍💨

We have an unlocked gate to the side of our house with an unlocked storage box behind it. I always give delivery instructions to leave things there. But no, they are either left on the doorstep, in the bin, or underneath the car. Last week I got a delivery photo for an item, and the photo showed the parcel inside the delivery van.

Speckson · 22/11/2025 00:17

In a farmyard about a mile up the road, outside in the rain. Luckily the farmer knows us and contacted us.

BreatheDeeplyInTheSilence · 22/11/2025 00:18

Under the cushion of my egg chair. The delivery note did say "in the garden" tbf.

Slightly off topic but I once got an email notification to say my parcel had been delivered and signed for by "BreatheDeeply". I emailed them straight back to inform them that I hadn't signed for it and had actually been at work at the time of said delivery. It wasn't until I got home and my neighbour from up the road knocked with my parcel that the penny dropped that we have the same first name!

AstonUniversityPotholeDepartment · 22/11/2025 00:19

The canopy over the front door. It was weeks before we found it.

Toogood2betrueItisnt · 22/11/2025 00:19

On my sofa, let himself in 😫

AliceMcK · 22/11/2025 00:41

O where to start….

ive had some of the ones already listed, in the bin, left in the rain, thrown over the back wall, through the open window, at the wrong house in a completely different area, outside my back gate which is a completely different street and is a gate which leads to a right of way for several houses, none of which the parcel belonged to, it actually belonged to a house about 100 yards down on the other side of the road that had a completely different street name and postcode.

My favourite though was last year, we spent ages with a torch trying to find a parcel, just when I thought, nope it’s gone somewhere else I found it in our Christmas train decoration.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 22/11/2025 00:47

If I'm not in, but my sitting room window is open, both the postie and my Evri driver drop any parcels through it.
I think their aim is to put things on the table but they quite often miss, and things end up under the table.
I don't always notice the parcels though.

I’ve had this too though fortunately DH found it before it was collected! FFS what was the driver thinking of!?

I know it’s crazy! Sadly mine wasn’t noticed and it vanished- we do have a camera though so could prove it!

FrangipaniBlue · 20/11/2025 22:11

just leaned up against my front door.

The branding on the box made it pretty obvious what was in it…… and it was worth £1000!!

Someone did that to my neighbours once - they'd scheduled delivery for the following day when they'd be in but it came early... cue a very panicked call from them asking if we were home to go and get it. Luckily DH was home.

Mine is on the doorstep of someone else's house 🙄

NoNameNoOne · 22/11/2025 09:20

Bathroom company delivered a bathroom suite on the top of a full skip..... not joking skip was collected.... bye bye bathroom suite. Thank F for Ring doorbells!

Yes, we have a dedicated parcel safe next to the front door and also a sizeable wooden box adjacent that is used by the milkwoman but would otherwise be an obviously ideal place for leaving small parcels.

No more than 5% of people delivering items that would easily fit in one or other of them ever use them.

A lot of deliveries seem to rely on the honesty (and alertness) of neighbours, but how can you possibly know that anybody is honest and won't just steal the parcel and deny all knowledge - purely on the basis of their happening to live near the legitimate customer?

Elektra1 · 22/11/2025 12:16

At my neighbours’ house, 3 doors down. Every single time. Because they couldn’t be bothered to walk 5 seconds up a small driveway. I’ve moved house now and getting my deliveries and not having to demand refunds because some passer by just picked up the package and walked off with it is one of the best things about my new house

NormasArse · 22/11/2025 12:19

At the very bottom of my next door but one neighbour’s garden. Clearly thrown over the wall and landed between shed and wall. It was months before they discovered it- meanwhile, I’d had a refund.

cobrakaieaglefang · 22/11/2025 12:43

Through my bedroom window ( its a bungalow) , apparently it identifies as either a porch or front door!🤔 they can't be bothered to walk round to the front door.

cobrakaieaglefang · 22/11/2025 12:45

Another time stuffed behind the drainpipe...6ft from the porch..

Nessiesfoodprovider · 22/11/2025 12:54

We had a parcel left in the gas meter box. No card or anything to say it was there. We found it about 3 months later when we went to read the meter.

WonderingWanda · 22/11/2025 12:57

In the big green composting bin which was full of wet grass. Not even a note to say it was delivered. Found by chance a few days later and the cardboard was all soggy and disintegrating. Worst thing was it was one of those ones where they just stick a label on the box and no other packaging and it was meant to be a gift.

SodthatImoff · 22/11/2025 12:58

Gawdimold · 20/11/2025 22:09

In the living room- threw it through an open window

😂
