How much is your weekly shop?

We are a family of 3, 2 adults 1 child (age 4).

In recent months we have had 1 'main' shopping delivery that's normally between £150-£175 and then easily spend another £20 topping up during the week.

It seems eye watering to me, as I'm sure it was about half this last year!

Interested to see if we are around average?

By being happy with that. I’m not happy with it, so I don’t have to buy it.

Not entirely sure what your problem is.

You think we're all happily buying rotten fruit and grey mince? Seriously?
Don't be so daft. Just say you like posh food. You don't need to make up shit about normal food to justify it.

There have actually been quite a lot of articles and comments about the grey mince - it's to do with the packaging. Not the quality. And the rotten fruit is to do with the temperature it's kept at and I never said it was all rotten, just I had seen some and I found it off putting. Which I think many people have given the amount of comments on social media.

The second I see rotten fruit somewhere, or unattractive food or meat, I cannot buy it nor eat it or buy from that shop again. Other's can. I can't. It's a characteristic of ARFID. So instead of being nasty, and making horrible comments about 'posh' perhaps try not jumping to conclusions.

Maybe reread what you wrote. Because it came across as snobby (I'm still getting snobby, but with an excuse this time). But that's fine.

Supermarket fruit and veg is definitely hit or miss. We used to shop at Tesco and probably spent less but I got so sick of, for example, slicing an onion I'd bought THAT DAY to find it completely rotten on the inside. It wasn't every bit of fruit or veg but enough that I thought fuck this and we switched to Ocado. Which is great but pricier for certain things.

I think you just need to :
a) Get there nice and early
b) Be a bit discerning

We are not on the breadline but £30 per week saved by shopping carefully = £1500 which is a cheap week in he sun or a UK break, for me it's worth not having the luxe experience.
