What are you having for breakfast on this bright and sunny Sunday morning?

I've had my usual yoghurt, blueberries & chopped nuts, and a latte.

Will have a second one around 11.00 after a brisk walk! Not sure what but I had an Ocado order yesterday so have plenty to choose from 🌞

Lovely bit of stealth (health) boasting to start a Sunday off.

I had bacon, fried bread, egg, mushroom, sliced tomato and sausages. Washed down with a mug of tea (with sugar). Then two slices of toast with marmalade.

My BMI is lower end of normal.

Such an unnecessary comment. Honestly I do wonder what’s up with some women on mumsnet. Are you this unpleasant in real life!

Whatislife73 · 26/10/2025 09:37

Boiled eggs ( Burford browns on a weekend), soliders & an Americano. In bed, be nice to have the papers but Mumsnet will do 😂

SnowBunting · 26/10/2025 09:38

Two cups of tea and some Greek yoghurt with raspberries and a dollop of jam. I should have something more substantial really.

M&S clotted cream rice pudding with home made pears in vanilla and ginger. Someone gave me a massive box of pears from their tree and I've been cooking batches of them all weekend. I could fancy bacon reading this thread, though.

@PegDope, how's a full Irish different from a full English (I know I could look it up)?

That sounds absolutely delicious.

DiscoBeat · 26/10/2025 09:38

Granola with almond milk and raspberries. I would love my usual poached egg on Mayo and sourdough but I've been ticked off by my GP for my cholesterol so giving the cheese and eggs a serious cut! 😭

FlorenceAgainstTheMachine · 26/10/2025 09:39

Orange juice, two slices of toast, and a cup of coffee. Contemplating a bowl of cereal before I start the housework.

dontforgetme · 26/10/2025 09:39

Currently on my 2nd brew. Life is truly shit at the moment so I’m waiting til 11.30 for a Big Mac. No fucks given!

It was. Am super smug.

I must admit M&S has spoilt me for home-made rice pudding though. Mine is never as nice, and I am sure it's because I would recoil in horror if I bothered to check how much fat and sugar there is in there. I am choosing to believe it is basically rice porridge and totally healthy.

TheJustJoker · 26/10/2025 09:41

Porridge with walnuts, blueberries and sliced banana drizzled with honey; big mug of filter coffee.

macshoto · 26/10/2025 09:43

Full English (home cooked) - black pudding, no beans, fried egg.
Sunday treat!

Dietary cholesterol from eggs has little effect on blood cholesterol levels. Your GP is working with out of date information. Cheese on the other hand is bad because it has huge amounts of saturated fat.

Was there really any need? 🙄

NormasArse · 26/10/2025 09:47

It’s raining.

I’ve had rice cakes and peanut butter, washed down with two cups of decaf coffee.

MagicLoop · 26/10/2025 09:48

Fried egg and bacon sandwich made by dh and a second cup of tea (had my first cup at about 6:15!).

RightOnTheEdge · 26/10/2025 09:51

Great thread OP. I can't decide what to have, lots of lovely ideas here.
I am boring and have the usual cereal and/or toast most of the time.

I fancy a bacon sandwich or cooked breakfast but I work the early shift at a Spoons and have eaten far too much of that kind of stuff lately on my break!

itsgettingweird · 26/10/2025 09:52

I had strawberries, grapes and a banana in vanilla yoghurt.

Will have a protein shake (strawberry 😋) for lunch and then having a Starbucks coffee later with a friend!

GLC789 · 26/10/2025 09:53

Caffeine and choas

AngelsWithSilverWings · 26/10/2025 09:54

The last of this weekend's home made sourdough loaf toasted with Tiptree Old Times marmalade ( the only marmalade I actually like )

Fatiguedwithlife · 26/10/2025 09:55

Two (large, free range) boiled eggs and warburtons white bread (toasted) soldiers with butter. And a mug of Yorkshire tea ☕️

Wednesdayschild87 · 26/10/2025 09:57

Two poached eggs with mushrooms and sauerkraut on rye bread. Very nice.

melissasummerfield · 26/10/2025 10:00

Homemade version of sausage mcmuffins :-)

FagotsAndPeas · 26/10/2025 10:01

I had the last of our homegrown sweet cherry tomatoes on buttered toast.
Not my usual breakfast but it was what I fancied this morning.
Usually I have porridge with fruit and seeds.

cinnamongirl123 · 26/10/2025 10:03

I don’t normally eat breakfast, I’m having my usual espresso and matcha green tea.
When I do have breakfast, I would go for vegan fruit yogurt with granola.
Just made my daughter one of her favourite breakfasts - “snack tray”, a tray with lots of bits and bobs that she likes (fruit, nuts, cheese, toast, some treats etc).

Chewbecca · 26/10/2025 10:14

Greek yoghurt with grapes and seeds & 2 mugs tea.

Having a full roast lamb dinner followed by apple pudding with custard at around 2pm so want to be hungry for that.

MrsCookieCat · 26/10/2025 10:17

Eggy bread and plenty of tea
