The type of people that are like sunshine! Mine was an ex manager. Never a bad word to say about anyone, had a disabled husband and both her dad and bother died young but was was just fabulous and positive

A good friend who I've known for over 20 years - she is the most positive and upbeat person I know. It's always an absolute pleasure spending time with her and when we go out she's always so friendly to everyone, whether it's someone serving us at a cafe or waiting at the train station - I just feel like she brightens people's day.
She has a hereditary problem with her hip which has caused her a lot of pain over the past few years and she's recently had a hip replacement (in her 40s, so by no means old) and she's never once complained.

A boss who passed away a few years ago, wonderful wonderful woman. She was glamorous and fabulous and never seen without her lipstick. A real people person, interested in everyone she met, and so thoughtful. I miss her terribly sometimes

CoodleMoodle · 18/10/2025 21:55

I don't know her at all but there's a substitute teacher at the DC's swim school, and she's SO lovely. She was there today covering a class, and she was so lovely and encouraging, and she always sounds incredibly genuine with her praise. DD has had her before but DS hasn't and I'm hoping he does one day, because she's so kind.

The loveliest person I've known was my A-Level English teacher's assistant. She was so nice that I stole her name for DD, although didn't name her after her as such. I just hoped any child of mine would turn out as wonderful as she was. So far, so good!

My non verbal 3 year old DS. He's definitely an embodiment of sunshine. He can't talk but absolutely lights up any room he's in 🥰

FortyFacedFuckers · 18/10/2025 22:04

A man I work with, honestly such a happy, kind, caring soul! Every single time I see him in person or on a meeting on teams he never fails to make me feel happy!

Theextraordinaryisintheordinary · 18/10/2025 22:06

My husband & his mum. He gets his kindness from her.

HeadNorth · 18/10/2025 22:10

My best friend of over 40 years is the best human being in the world - clever, talented, driven, kind. I’d be lost without her. I also have a fabulously lovely male colleague. Along with my gorgeous late FiL, the 3 best people I’ve ever met

DonaldJohnTrump · 18/10/2025 22:12

Weeelll, that's gotten be me, hasn't it?
I postively glow with warmth, good humour and humility, bigly.
I can bring peace to the world, save the planet, reduce taxes,
Make America Grate Again and do the Rubik's Cube thingy.

blankcanvas3 · 18/10/2025 22:17

DH probably. It makes me a bit sick how lovely he is. He’s never had a bad word to say about anybody, he goes out of his way to help everybody he meets, he’s like sunshine personified

MasterMind1982 · 18/10/2025 22:17

So many people in my life are just so bloody wonderful - three of my closest friends gosh I’m so lucky. Obvs my mum, gosh my primary school friend, my group of friends from uni, my business partner and some school mums who are just flipping golden. I tend to cut out anyone whose not

Mumof2wifeof1crazytimes · 18/10/2025 22:20

My daughter. She is kind, confident, caring, loyal and very happy in her own self. Even as a little girl she was same, happy from the moment she woke up. I used to love waking her on a morning when she was a child as she always woke with a smile on her face, different story now as a 19 year old 😂 I would love to be more like her.

Lipglosser · 18/10/2025 22:21

My kids never known love, loyalty and fun like it, in my life
Thankful

GreenMarigold · 18/10/2025 22:23

A work colleague. She’s quite senior in the company but has time for absolutely everyone and is just unfailingly lovely and positive, despite some significant personal struggles.

TheyRepulseMe · 18/10/2025 22:25

My son. He is the most pure and beautiful soul.

I have a daughter too, and I love her endlessly. But there is something magical about my son. He is happiness and kindness personified.

MayaPinion · 18/10/2025 22:26

My DP is the very definition of ‘A Good Man’ - a quiet strength who’s always in my corner.

A dad was a lovely, lovely, man. He was a class act. Every morning he got up, lit a coal fire, did the vacuuming, and then brought my mother tea and toast in bed so she could ease into the day. He’d drive anyone anywhere at any time, tell terrible jokes and laugh himself silly at them, was always up for a bit of DIY (not always successfully!), and was a quiet voice of calm and reason. He’s likely the reason I was picky about boyfriends - he set the bar high - and I would never have settled for someone who didn’t treat me beautifully.

TheyRepulseMe · 18/10/2025 22:27

My Father in Law is second. The most lovely man ever. My husband doesn't understand how lucky he is.

Serencwtch · 18/10/2025 22:30

Police officer Dawn from Ash/Guildford over 20 years ago.
Was there for me when I went into care & then left alone as a 16 year old.
Was the first adult I met who didn't let me down or abuse me.

My friend who passed away in February was the loveliest person I've known. She was kind and caring, outrageously funny and naughty but in the nicest possible way. She was also very wise and intuitive. If someone was an arse, she'd kill them with kindness, yet she was never a pushover either. I learnt so much from her, and the world is a duller place without her presence.

Bernardo1 · 19/10/2025 17:40

Joanna Lumley.

Tiggermad · 19/10/2025 17:44

My husband.hes just so lovely, kind and caring.
Never nasty to anyone.

therewasafishinthepercolator · 19/10/2025 17:48

DH. He is gentle, thoughtful and always good natured and good humoured. Puts everyone else first.

No matter what's going on he takes it in his stride. Never seen him in a bad mood or crabbit. Even when me or teen DC are being massive pains in the arse. I wish I had his ability to keep cool and laugh it off.

NoItsStillNighttimeDarling · 19/10/2025 17:51

A lovely lady I met at a baby group who looks after her grandson while her daughter is working. She is absolutely wonderful and has adopted me somewhat as unfortunately my lovely mum and mil are no longer with us

JacknDiane · 19/10/2025 17:51

A mum I met on the school run. Such a positive person. Not a mean bone in her body. We chat on WhatsApp a lot and I'm always happy to see a WhatsApp from her as she's so cheerful.
