A good self care / beauty treatment. Like facial, eyebrow / lashes enchantment, massage

JetFlight · 04/10/2025 07:46

A massage
Change of scenery - go to the coast or somewhere with hills or mountains. Train ticket or flight to somewhere for a day trip or short break.
Do something for someone else. Either for a friend or family member or something charitable like a donation to the food bank.
Get some nice teas or coffee.

What's making you feel low, OP?

Unfortunately, my face and body are not salvageable.
Some art is appealing though. My bedroom walls need brightening up

I can completely understand the urge to separate from even thinking about your body, but buying your body something that is aimed to make it feel good rather than looking different might feel caring for it, even when you're not friends with it. I appreciate that might feel like unwanted work, so you do you. Take care.

mamaduckbone · 05/10/2025 10:29

A lovely plant - maybe an orchid as they flower for ages
A new nail polish in an autumnal colour to paint your toenails
A lovely scented candle or diffuser to make your home smell delicious
A small piece of jewellery - maybe some earrings

As someone who also has an eating disorder and is feeling fed up (I have SAD too) I feel you! I’ve just treated myself to an equestrian style dry robe so I can be warm and dry and (relatively) stylish on my dog walks. I’d also recommend some warm gloves, anything from Online Home Store as mentioned before. I love my weighted blanket and fake Oodie from there. They have an oodie with dogs on that I want to Christmas! It’s so cheap too that you could get a few things.

FWIW you don’t sound rotten inside and out at all 🥰.

Any places running craft workshops nearby? These are great way to learn something new and get out to meet people.
