A set of Oracle cards with beautiful pictures and meaningful messages; a beautifully scented soap; a small piece of jewellery; a coloured glass candle lantern; a Paperblanks notebook; a pair of cashmere bed socks; a fashion magazine; a puzzler magazine; an illustrated book on a hobby or travel.

A cuddly toy.
I love getting myself a cuddly toy.

If money no object - a red light / sauna blanket, red light therapy mask, facial steamer, Gua Shua stone or facial roller and some face oil / cleanser, perfume, a trip to a makeup counter, A Neom diffuser and some autumnal oil: body oil, new jewellery: trip to a nice bookstore / coffee shop and some new books: audiobook; a piece of art

Unfortunately, my face and body are not salvageable.
Some art is appealing though. My bedroom walls need brightening up

do you knit or crochet?

if not would you like to learn?

it's lovely buying & using beautiful soft wools
& you can make yourself (or gifts) gloves, scarves hats etc. very therapeutic.

new book, nice cosy cafe/pub....

AwakeNotThruChoice · 03/10/2025 22:53

Voited Blanket

Ihad2Strokes · 03/10/2025 22:53

Do you want to talk about why you need cheering up?

(I feel like my face is now unsalvagable too xx)

AwakeNotThruChoice · 03/10/2025 22:55

A warm and comfy new winter coat. This would be such a treat for me.

Allthesnowallthetime · 03/10/2025 22:57

Heated foot warmer

Some treats for your pets

A herbal tea in a dog friendly cafe, with your dog

Yoga with puppies (if it's available near you)

Zentangle class

Great idea. I don’t knit but I would like to learn and anything relaxing and therapeutic would be helpful atm

That’s so kind, thank you but too much overwhelming stuff is happening at the moment x

@RetailTherapyMightHelp oh don’t say that! So sorry you feel that way xxx

I did a watercolour class in my local tech a while ago for fun and ended up really loving it, i was by far the worst in the class but being able to go with no expectation and just zone out for a few hours and make something lovely was like a rest for my brain! And a really good lesson in doing things just because I like it rather than having to be good at it.

Nice new bedding and jammies are always a winner in my book too. An electric blanket is next on my list.

Dont be daft. You sound like a beautiful soul and as such you should dress how you make others feel.

What about a journal of positive affirmations to help you be a bit kinder to yourself? Because you really do deserve to be kind to yourself, we all do.

It’s the right time of the year for those indoor plant kits (hyacinths etc) that come in lovely vases.

They always lift my spirits when there is less life outside.

Fair enough 🤗😘 but we're here if you change your mind xx

woolwarehouse is a great place to buy 'yarn' from. Size 4 needles/crochet hook & some Stylecraft DK IS a good place to start. It's a forgiving washable yarn & there are millions of YouTube tutorials

the WoollyHugs team on here are ever so helpful if you need anything.

While you are learning it's quite engrossing so great as a distraction from 'life'

❤️

You arent. Someone who was rotten inside and out would not recognise that about themselves. You are obviously massively in touch with your feelings. You may have done something you may feel is absolutely abhorrent (you mentoned eating disorder) but that is only your judgement.
With the most gentle ask do you think you may be starting to become depressed ? (Asking as I recognise self loathing and all sorts tied up in not recoginsing or believing others worth in you) . Xx be kind to yourself .

A heated throw, I can’t be without mine in the winter.

Cashmere socks, posh PJs or slippers.

RetailTherapyMightHelp · 03/10/2025 23:30

Thanks everyone. MN can be a kind and supportive place.
