I want a typical UK seaside holiday

Any suggestions for somewhere with a nice beach, funfair, typical seafront, but preferably not grotty 😂 and nearby other activities (maybe a decent pool or lido, park etc)

Barmouth. I’ve been to many of the places mentioned so far but we return to Barmouth whenever we go to Wales. So fun. You can get a train right into the centre of it if you don’t fancy the drive. Best fish and chips I have eaten are there too.

Westward Ho! North Devon? Fantastic mix of traditional seaside arcades, lovely independent shops, bars, pubs, tea rooms and restaurants that are open all year round. Huge golden sandy beach that never gets too busy and a buzzing surf scene. We love it so much we bought a place there. We rent it out some of the year if anyone is interested, won’t post unsolicited links unless someone wants me to x

North Wales has it all.

Or Barmouth, Criccieth Llanbedrog
All different but nearby

Not what they once were but places like Skegness, Mablethorpe do meet the beach, rides amusements criteria, Scarborough is also not what it was but probably a better option
