TV houses you covet

Have been binging on BBC's Annika (played by Nicola Walker) and I want her house, on the shores of Loch Lomond.
Mind you, I also wanted NW's house in The Split.

Are there any TV houses you'd love to live in, Downton Abbey aside?

@BitSilly yes to all of those book fiction properties!

Plus Pemberley, of course.

Suki Stackhouse’s house in True Blood.

before/after Tara had done all her weird shit to it.

I nearly said this in my previous post, but decided I'd be too freaked out by it's location- next to a cemetery, in the middle of nowhere. And there's a lot of super natural stuff going on round there 😂. I like the house though.

Uncle Monty’s cottage in Withnail and I

I loved the 80s series Howards Way and wanted to live in either the Howards or the Urquharts posh houses. I recent went on the 'Howards Way' walk at Old Burlesdon and saw all the houses from the series. They were just as beautiful as I remembered.

Monica's apartment.

I also love the house in Waffle Dog.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 07/09/2025 21:37

The vets’ house in All Creatures Great and Small.

The one in Our House, though I struggled to see how these two people, with ordinary jobs and no obvious family money, could afford a 2 million pound house in London!

(I'm having similar problems with Supacell, currently on Netflix, where a social worker and a delivery driver have a mortgage on an amazing flat in London...)

Our House's Martin Compston breaks down heartstopping episode 1 cliffhanger

SPOILER ALERT. What lies in store for Bram now?

Film rather than TV, but I had serious envy for Lois Lane’s apartment in the latest Superman film.

The beach house in Grace & Frankie

Yes to this! I also like Mitchell and Cam’s house in Modern Family.

When I as much younger I desperately wanted to live in the Different Stokes’ house / apartment. Not only was it totally open plan (first time I had seen anything of the sort) but the boys’ bedroom had not only bunk beds (the glamour) but also their own phone. IN THEIR BEDROOM?!!!! Meanwhile my dad bought a pay phone as our phone bill was too high and it was installed in the kitchen.

Pam & Mick's house in Gavin and Stacey.

In the 90s I was desperate to live in The Upper Hand house, preferably with Joe McGann too!

Yes Pam and Mick’s. (But only if they stay and are my mum and dad)

I was trying to explain to an American the other day how I couldn’t understand how Rosanne (in the sitcoms of the same name) was meant to be poor when she lived in such a big house with two bathrooms.

Faith’s house in Keeping Faith. I used to imagine how I’d style and furnish it! I loved the house, the staircase, outside and the views. Perfect.

I loved it too. The turquoise mural on kitchen wall, not sure if it was wallpaper or tiles but it looked like the inside of geode. Plus the terrace overlooking the sea for drinking wine on.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 08/09/2025 06:35

The gipsy caravan in Danny the Champion of the World.

That appeals to me even more!

Definitely the Durrell's house in Corfu. Slightly run down in a relaxing, soft kind of way and so close to the sea. Heaven though may have to have an English base to escape the summer heat and that would be the big house in To the manor born.

Ha! I thought of NW house in The Split when I saw your title… that door!

My first house thought

Sgtmajormummy · 08/09/2025 08:52

Sally Field’s house in Brothers and Sisters.

Wherearemymarbles · 08/09/2025 11:22

The house where Standish was held in S3 of Slow Horses

LBB2020 · 08/09/2025 13:44

The house in Charmed
Joe and Love’s house in S3 You
Susan’s house in Desperate Housewives
Meg’s house in Motherland

TheDandyLion · 08/09/2025 13:47

The Sex Education house the only thing missing was a greenhouse.

FindingMeno · 08/09/2025 13:56

Either a hobbit house or a nice King's Landing gaff from GoT.

EWAB · 08/09/2025 14:04

I am embarrassed that a couple of Boxing Days ago I must have spent hours googling Pam and Mick’s house. I want a floor plan. Apparently there is a mezzanine over the living room. I just love it. I want to see more of it.

Apart from Pam and Mick, Frasier’s apartment and ultimately Jay’s house in Modern Family!

I have two sons nearly 8 years apart and we went through a phase of watching Horrid Henry (first for one and first time nostalgia for other) and I knew I needed to get out more when I was envious of the cartoon house….. dining room and kitchen to sit in plus laundry in basement! Sad!
