TV houses you covet

Have been binging on BBC's Annika (played by Nicola Walker) and I want her house, on the shores of Loch Lomond.
Mind you, I also wanted NW's house in The Split.

Are there any TV houses you'd love to live in, Downton Abbey aside?

Faith’s house in Keeping Faith. I used to imagine how I’d style and furnish it! I loved the house, the staircase, outside and the views. Perfect.

Ooh film houses - of course the McCallister house in Home Alone first comes to mind!
I also loved the Cullen house in the forest in the Twilight saga.

You beat me to it! I LOVE that house. All the decor in it (which was 33-35 years ago) I would keep exactly the same.

It's beautiful. I would not change a thing!!😍

The Durrell family’s Corfu house in the tv series.

BitSilly · 07/09/2025 18:14

Fictional houses I love - Green Gables farmhouse, Pippi Longstocking's house and weirdly, I have always loved the idea of Heidi sleeping in the hayloft.

Frasier’s apartment.

Alao have a soft spot for The Durrells house even in its crumbling state.

What's not to love @SabreIsMyFave !

But, wait, 33 - 35 years ago?!
Surely those films are only 10 - 12 years old, right?
Right???! 😭

😆 Yep, 1990 was 10 years ago, the 1970s was 30 years ago, and 2008 was the year before last! 😂

Otis’ mums house in Sex education

Me too! It was actually on the market a few months ago but I didn’t have a spare few million quid knocking around 😭

mondaytosunday · 07/09/2025 18:22

Diane Keaton’s house in ‘Something’sGotta Give’ - any New England house to be honest.
Ooo yes Big Little Lies. I liked the beach house in Frankie & Grace as well as the guys place.
Lusted after the flats in The Good Doctor.

NameChange23456790 · 07/09/2025 18:22

Cosby House!! Or Fresh Prince

BlueyDragon · 07/09/2025 18:24

In The King’s Speech Geoffrey Rush’s character lives and works in a flat with the most beautiful floor to ceiling plus roof window. It’s part of a row of them on the A4 as you go out of London and I’ve always wanted one of those!

MotherWol · 07/09/2025 18:31

The midcentury San Francisco house Ted Danson’d character lives in in Man on the Inside (Netflix), I really loved the warmth and the light. Or Cameron’s house from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (the Ben Rose house), surrounded by trees, or the Hampstead MCM house that Killing Eve’s boss lives in.

I looooooved the idea of sleeping in the hayloft too! Spyri made it sound so cosy and sweet smelling, gazing up at the stars through the hatch…

I wouldn't fancy what was in the hallway (although I've only seen one episode so admittedly it might not still be there).

Livpool · 07/09/2025 19:02

Frasier’s apartment in Frasier. Or Niles’ one . They were massive - especially Niles’

HeathenPlayingHouse · 07/09/2025 19:24

The houses from Father of the Bride and Something’s Gotta Give, actually any Nancy Meyers film is a good choice!

Carrie’s new digs in AJLT, although I’d not want to share the garden with the downstairs flat. I love LTW’s apartment as well.

Bit of an obscure one, but the house that gets built in Life as a House- the design is just beautiful.

And of course, the family home in About Time ❤️

notthemayo · 07/09/2025 19:45

The Outnumbered house! Even with the chaos.

Welltower · 07/09/2025 19:59

Julia Roberts seafront house in Sleeping with the Enemy

when I was little I wanted to have the bedroom the children had in the film Escape to Witch Mountain

SeaAndStars · 07/09/2025 20:13

Tannie Maria's house in Recipes for Love and Murder. A balcony with a dining table, a veg patch and a friendly hen pottering about.

Lillygolightly · 07/09/2025 20:42
  1. Father of the Bride House
  2. The house Derek built in Greys Anatomy
  3. Alicia Florick’s Flat in the Good Wife
  4. Home Alone House
  5. Monica’s apartment in Friends (when I was young 😂)
ThisCanFuckOffToo · 07/09/2025 20:46

Suki Stackhouse’s house in True Blood.

before/after Tara had done all her weird shit to it.

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 07/09/2025 21:01

Do you know if the same house is used in all of the following films:

Home Alone
Uncle Buck
Christmas Vacation

Lovely house(s) anyway! 😍

LaMadrilena · 07/09/2025 21:03

I'd have Bluey's house (but without the deadly Australian bugs and snakes). What do her parents do for a living?
