Not sure I can explain this but can't orientate things correctly.
Puts clothes on inside out and back to front.
Not me , it's partner.
Wondering what causes it , whether it's a syndrome of some kind.

Oliver Sack’s book ‘The man who mistook his wife for a hat’, is worth a read.
it sounds as if there is an underlying neurological cause, but the cause could be for a multitude of reasons. There is no point in trying to second guess, he needs to see a GP, if he has some insight into his difficulties he maybe worried and wanting to stick his head in the sand; alternatively he may not have any insight and think you’re fussing over nothing (if he lacks insight, it will make things much harder to manage). Sorry OP it sounds really tough. But I hope you get some answers.

@echt thank you so much for leaping to my defence 😀.
I can see where Zempy is coming from but as you get older your perspective on what constitutes old does shift .Plus you start to be aware of the large range of health and cognitive skills that exist in older age groups .

I hope you get to the bottom of it @limetrees32.

I am in my sixties and I’m seeing slightly older friends and colleagues showing early signs of dementia. It’s a dreadful illness and I wish you well.

I agree the driving has to stop .
@Octavia64 thank you for posting .That sounds so hard .You must have had to do so much hard work to regain some functions .
Did you see the post from @GoldPoster who also has damage to the samatonsensory cortex following a stroke during brain surgery .

Can you surreptitiously phone the gp and ask them to invite him down to “take his bp and review his medication”, advising that he won’t come down unless they tell him to preferably in writing and that you have concerns that you will raise once youre there with him. It’s just he needs to be made to attend so if they can help with that..! And it needs to be the GP not the nurse.
